The 45-minute Essential Cruise along the Huangpu River takes you past the iconic waterfronts of Puxi’s World Architecture Expo Group and the landmark buildings of Lujiazui in Pudong. On the return leg, the route turns toward the North Bund, passing the Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal, the historic Waibaidu Bridge, and the renowned Bund World Architecture Expo Group. The cruise offers a panoramic view of Shanghai’s urban landscape from different historical periods over the past century.
1. Operating Hours of the Essential Cruise
● Day Cruise: Rolling departures between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Vessel assigned randomly, cannot be specified.
● Night Cruise: Rolling departures between 6:30 PM and 9:30 PM. Vessel assigned randomly, cannot be specified.
● Cruise Duration: Approx. 45 minutes
● Departure Frequency: Approx. every 30 minutes
*Flights before 6:00 PM are day cruises; flights after 6:00 PM are night cruises. Tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis. If seats are fully booked, only a refund will be issued, with no further liability assumed.

11:00 AM – 5:00 PM: Exchange tickets at Shiliupu Tourist Pier Zone 1, No. 481 and 491, Zhongshan South 2nd Road.
5:00 PM – 8:00 PM: Exchange tickets at Shiliupu Tourist Pier Zone 2, No. 551, Zhongshan South 2nd Road.
3. Ticket Purchase and Collection Method
Real-name registration is required for the Huangpu River cruise. On the day of the tour, please bring the original ID documents of all visitors and the 8-digit collection code to the designated ticket window at the pier to collect your tickets. Board the cruise after ticket inspection and security check.
4. Cruise Route
Shiliupu Pier → Binjiang Avenue → Shanghai Tower → Shanghai International Convention Center → Oriental Pearl Tower → Qinhuangdao Pier (turnaround) → North Bund → Magnolia Building → Waibaidu Bridge → Bund World Architecture Expo Group → Shiliupu Pier
5. Discount Policies
● Children under 6 years old (not including 6) or under 1.3 meters in height: free admission (boarding pass required).
● Children aged 6 to 14 years (including 6, excluding 14) or between 1.3 meters and 1.5 meters in height: half of the regular price.
● Seniors aged 70 years and above: half of the regular price.
● Disabled police officers and disabled military personnel: half of the regular price.
Discounted tickets must be purchased at the on-site ticket window when exchanging online tickets.
6. Refund Policy
Tickets are non-refundable and non-changeable.
*In the event of force majeure (including but not limited to typhoons, thunderstorms, earthquakes, etc.) or special circumstances such as tides or waterway conditions, the cruise company has the right to suspend services or adjust departure times based on safety considerations. If the cruise is canceled, visitors must go to the corresponding ticket office on the same day with the valid same-day boarding pass to process the refund; otherwise, the refund will not be accepted.
