I’d been wanting to stay at Shangri-La Far Eastern Taipei for a while, mainly because my travel group consisted of three people who all wanted individual beds and a single room. I was a bit hesitant at first since most of the online reviews were from 2017–2018, but once I arrived, I completely changed my mind—this hotel exceeded all expectations. The ambiance is incredibly luxurious, and the overall quality is top-notch. The room was much bigger than the photos suggested, offering plenty of space and a really comfortable feel. From the moment we walked in, the bell staff and front desk team were welcoming and professional—every interaction was pleasant. The signature fragrance and premium toiletries added that extra touch of sophistication. Initially, I was disappointed to learn that none of the four-room options had views of Taipei 101 (which was part of our original shortlist), but after seeing the room in person, I didn’t care about the view at all—the condition, cleanliness, and comfort were just too good. During our 3-night stay, we only encountered one other Korean guest (in the elevator!), and the breakfast area and pool were mostly filled with European travelers, giving it a very international vibe. What stood out the most was how the hotel proactively sent us a confirmation email after booking to confirm our schedule—something many 5-star hotels don’t do. It made planning so much easier and gave me peace of mind. Overall, this trip was enjoyable and stress-free thanks to the excellent service. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Taipei.

The only minor drawback was a slight stuffiness in the room when the temperature was increased, but it didn’t detract much from the overall fantastic stay. For the comfort, location, and value, this hotel is hard to beat. I’d definitely book again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Taipei.

This was my first stay at a luxury international hotel, and I couldn’t be more impressed. We drove in, but the hotel’s location is fantastic—right next to both Xiaojie Station and Nanjing Fuxing Station on the MRT, making it super easy to get around Taipei. Just a short walk from the hotel brings you to major shopping malls, restaurants, and entertainment spots, perfect for first-time visitors exploring the city. The room was spotless, modern, and spacious—especially the bathroom, which clearly had been recently renovated. The soundproofing is excellent; even in the middle of a busy urban area, we slept like babies through the night. We stayed in a triple room with three adults and two large suitcases plus two carry-ons—plenty of space, no crowding at all. Plus, the hotel offers dedicated parking, a huge plus for those arriving by car. With its unbeatable convenience, clean design, and family-friendly layout, this place delivers exceptional value. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Taipei!

Staying at Amba Taipei Ximending was such a great choice—being just steps away from Ximending makes exploring the area so convenient. The neighborhood is lively, packed with shops, street food, and great vibes. The breakfast was surprisingly good, especially the fresh rice balls and fried eggs—simple but satisfying. While I personally prefer the style of the Songshan branch, this location really shines for its unbeatable convenience. One thing to note: if you drive, parking fees are not included and you’ll need to arrange that on your own. However, both the Eslite and Emei parking lots are super close—no hassle at all. Overall, it’s a fantastic stay with excellent value, and I’d definitely book again.

The bathroom was well-designed with a clean, functional layout—dry and wet areas separated nicely, plus high-quality amenities. Everything felt thoughtfully curated: from the climate control to the subtle touches like ambient lighting. Location is fantastic too—just a short walk to Taipei Station and easily accessible to major attractions like Ximending and Xinyi District. With its great comfort, smart design, and unbeatable convenience, this place has already made it onto my must-stay list whenever I return to Taipei.

There’s also a lively shopping mall right downstairs with plenty of dining options and stores, so you never have to go far for food or essentials. I booked the 101 room on the top floor, which offered stunning panoramic views of Taipei City—perfect for capturing those skyline photos. The room itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-maintained. Housekeeping was thorough, and amenities were always replenished. One minor downside was the weak water pressure in the shower, which slightly affected the experience. Breakfast was standard—not fancy, but satisfying enough to start the day without needing to grab something elsewhere. Overall, this hotel delivers great value, excellent location, and a comfortable stay. I’d definitely return.

The front desk offers free food warming for takeout orders, then delivers them straight to your door via robot—such a clever and thoughtful touch. For breakfast, they give you credit directly on your phone, which can be used anytime during Starbucks’ operating hours at the lobby. Great coffee, fresh bread, and even leftovers can be exchanged for cookies or egg rolls to-go—super convenient! This hotel nails the balance between comfort, innovation, and hospitality. The staff are quick to respond and genuinely helpful whenever I had a question or needed assistance. One thing I really appreciated? No deposit required—super convenient. The room came with a large TV that streamed YouTube and Netflix without any buffering issues. Plus, there’s a bus stop right outside the hotel, making it easy to hop on the Minsheng Express line for trips around town. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this location offers unbeatable access and comfort. Definitely going to come back.

I arrived around 1 PM and was pleasantly surprised that I could check in early, which made the whole experience so much smoother. The staff were incredibly polite and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The shower area worked perfectly—strong water pressure and consistent hot water. My favorite part? The long vanity counter; it’s spacious and practical, making morning routines a breeze. And on top of that, there are several massage shops right downstairs, while across the street lies the vibrant heart of Ximending—great for dining, shopping, and soaking up the local energy. This hotel offers excellent value, modern comfort, and a fantastic location. I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Taipei. Highly recommended!
