WeBase Hakata Hostel

Staying at WeBase Hakata Hostel was an absolute delight! The place is incredibly clean and has a charming, cozy vibe that instantly made me feel at home. Its location is unbeatable—just a 100-meter walk from the bus stop, with easy access to Hakata Station, Tenjin, and even the airport via subway. I didn’t have to worry about transportation at all. The free breakfast was a nice bonus, and the bathroom features excellent dry-wet separation—very practical and hygienic. While the room is small, the soundproofing is outstanding; I slept through the night without any noise disruptions. Perfect for solo travelers looking for a quiet, affordable, and well-located base in Fukuoka. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the city!

The Millennials Fukuoka

Staying at The Millennials Fukuoka was an absolute surprise in the best way possible! From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Despite being Japanese, their English was fluent with minimal accent—communication during check-in was smooth and stress-free. A quick heads-up: even if you book online, there’s an additional ¥1,000 per person overnight tax that must be paid on-site. Be sure to bring cash! I stayed in a women-only floor room (E08), located right at the end of the E section—perfect for privacy. It felt like I’d hit the jackpot with my luck; no noise or interruptions from others, just total peace and comfort. The room itself? A game-changer. Everything is controlled via a single iPod—lighting, alarm settings, you name it. The bed is electric: fully adjustable from upright to flat, ideal for reading or relaxing. And the wake-up feature? Gentle light gradually brightens while the headrest lifts slightly—so peaceful and non-disruptive, yet effective. No one else gets disturbed, and you actually feel refreshed. There are four power outlets too—more than enough for all your devices. Clean, modern, well-thought-out design throughout. Every detail shows care. If you’re visiting Fukuoka and want to experience capsule lodging without compromising on comfort, privacy, or tech-smart features, this place is a must-try. Highly recommend!

Heartscapsule Hotel&Spa

I absolutely have to praise this hostel—it’s surprisingly spacious and well-connected. The front desk on the first floor has direct access to various buses heading to Tenjin, the airport, and even Osaka or Tokyo—super convenient. A covered walkway links directly to Hakata Station and the Hakata Bus Terminal, connecting four major shopping complexes. You can travel to the airport without ever getting caught in the rain or sun—just step out and you’re already at a cozy cafe. After checking in, turn 90 degrees and walk about 5 minutes to reach the fifth building, where you’ll find 7-Eleven, Lawson, and FamilyMart—all within a 1-minute walk from the hostel. Along the long side of the property, there’s a popular bakery with long queues—perfect for a quick bite. I had their famous mentaiko baguette and donburi earlier that day, and it was delicious and filling—only a 10-minute walk away. The restroom is large and clean, and the shared hot spring bath is a real highlight. Beds are spotless and comfortable, making the whole experience relaxing and stress-free. This place is an absolute gem for travelers looking for convenience, comfort, and great value.

Hostel Toki

Staying at Hostel Toki in Fukuoka was a fantastic experience. The location is convenient—just a 20-minute walk from Hakata Station, which makes getting around the city super easy. The hostel is spotless, and the female dormitory features six bunk beds on two levels, offering good space and privacy for travelers. Free coffee and tea are available throughout the day—perfect for a morning pick-me-up or late-night chat. Towels aren’t included, but they’re available to rent, and you can also rent a bike for just 500 yen per day, which is great for exploring the city. Clean, friendly, and well-organized, this hostel delivers excellent value without compromising comfort. Highly recommend for budget-conscious travelers who want an authentic local vibe.

Common de - Hostel & Bar

I couldn't believe how great this hostel turned out to be—definitely one of the best stays I've had in Fukuoka. The location is unbeatable: just a 2-minute walk from the subway station, making it super easy to get around the city. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and spoke fluent English, which made check-in and asking for recommendations a breeze. What really stood out was the atmosphere among guests—everyone was respectful, quiet at night, and considerate of others' space. It felt like a true community vibe without any noise or disruptions. I loved how close it was to popular spots like Tenjin and Ohori Park, and everything was within walking distance. Clean, welcoming, and well-located—this place offers amazing value and comfort. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it to any traveler looking for a relaxed, social, yet peaceful stay.

Sky Heart Hotel Hakata

I was thoroughly impressed with Sky Heart Hotel Hakata—perfect room size, excellent value for money, and a location that can't get much better. Just a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station and another 10 minutes to Nakasu nightlife district, making it super convenient for exploring the city. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially having a Korean-speaking front desk agent who made communication easy and comfortable. Everything about this stay felt thoughtfully designed—from the clean, well-maintained rooms to the thoughtful touches throughout the hotel. I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Fukuoka. It’s not just a great deal—it’s a truly memorable experience.

Fukuoka Guesthouse Ship

I was on the fence about extending my stay due to flight timing, but ended up adding one more night and I'm so glad I did! The guesthouse has a quiet, cozy vibe that made it feel like a home away from home. While the soundproofing isn't perfect, it didn't bother me at all—just added to the authentic, lived-in charm. There's only one bathroom, which is a bit of a hassle for larger groups, but it worked fine for solo travelers or couples. Overall, the comfort, location, and warm atmosphere make this place a standout. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, affordable stay in Fukuoka.

European House Reisen

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! The location is perfect—right between Nakasu River and Hakata Station, making it super convenient for exploring the city. The room was spacious and clean, with excellent air conditioning and a fridge that’s more than big enough for all our needs. What really stood out was the staff—both Korean and Japanese team members were incredibly friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re visiting Fukuoka, this is definitely a top choice.

Zen Oyado Nishitei

I stumbled upon this place online before my trip and decided to book it through my visa agent—never expected it to be this beautiful. The moment I arrived, I was completely blown away by how exquisite everything felt, far beyond anything I imagined. This is what life should be like. Despite my irregular sleep schedule and always having a sensitive stomach in the morning, I found myself eating two bowls of rice every day without hesitation. After late-night theatre shows and wandering around town, I’d come back to a neatly made bed and a thoughtful snack left on the table. There’s something deeply moving about that kind of warmth. Now that I’ve returned to Beijing, waking up tomorrow won’t bring the same comfort—the morning meals, the relaxing bath before bed, the chance to chat with the owner and staff using my terrible Japanese. It already feels a little lonely. But I’ll be back someday. Until then, take care everyone!

First Cabin Hakata

Location couldn’t be better—right outside the station exit, literally steps from the door. The building itself has a Don Quijote on the ground floor, so grabbing snacks, toiletries, or souvenirs is super convenient. Just across the street is Ichiran’s head office, perfect for a quick ramen fix. The room is compact but well-designed, and I really loved the sleepwear provided—soft, comfortable, and surprisingly high quality. One small note: if you’re a light sleeper, you might hear guests moving around early in the morning when packing up. I’d recommend bringing earplugs just in case. Overall, this place delivers great value, convenience, and a cozy vibe. Definitely a top pick for a hassle-free stay in Hakata.

Richmond Hotel Tenjin Nishi-Dori

I stayed at this hotel and was genuinely impressed with the overall experience. The room isn’t huge, but the bed is incredibly comfortable—perfect for a good night’s sleep after exploring Fukuoka. One of the standout features is the ample power outlets throughout the room, plus they provide universal charging cables, which is such a thoughtful touch when traveling. The location is fantastic—right on the street with plenty of shops nearby, from drugstores and designer boutiques to local eateries and even capsule toy machines. There’s something for every age group, making it ideal for families or solo travelers alike. The shower in the bathroom delivers strong water pressure and drains quickly, so no standing water issues. Breakfast options are modest, but the quality is excellent—especially the coffee, which is rich and aromatic. Overall, the value for money is outstanding. I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Fukuoka.

The room was compact but well-designed, with a comfortable bed that made for a restful night's sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay—always smiling and ready to assist. I especially loved the on-site café, which served a delicious breakfast in a cozy atmosphere. Cleanliness, comfort, and value all come together perfectly here. If you're visiting Fukuoka, this is definitely a top pick. Highly recommend!
