Staying at With Inn Hostel in Kaohsiung was an absolute delight! The location is unbeatable—just a 2-minute walk to Xinqiujang Night Market and about a 12-minute stroll to Liuchu Night Market, perfect for food lovers who don’t want to travel far. Right nearby is Guotianzi Beiji Temple, a 10-minute walk away, where I picked up a lucky money charm said to bring prosperity—seriously, it felt like magic! I got a surprise bonus at work the week after, and I’m convinced it’s linked to that little charm. The hostel itself is clean, cozy, and full of local charm. Great value, great vibes, and definitely my go-to spot when I return to Kaohsiung.
Ling Inn
I stayed at Ling Inn in Kaohsiung, and overall, the experience was just average. The hotel is conveniently located, just a short walk from the metro station, which is great for exploring the city. However, the room is on the second floor of a corrugated metal building, giving it a somewhat basic and dated feel. The main issue was the hot water—while it heated up quickly, it ran out within minutes and the flow was quite weak, making showering a bit frustrating. I also noticed some cleanliness concerns: there were visible dust marks on the desk and bathroom counter, and the shower floor still had damp spots after use. It’s clear that housekeeping could use more attention. While this place might work for budget travelers who don’t mind simplicity, those looking for comfort and better hygiene should consider other options. Not bad for the price, but definitely not memorable.

Staying at Tenz Go Hotel was a delightful experience from start to finish. The location is excellent—just a short walk from major attractions and some of the best local eateries in Kaohsiung, making it super convenient for exploring the city. Breakfast was a real highlight: fresh, well-prepared, and offering a great variety of options, including authentic local pastries that were a treat. The third-floor game room was a fun bonus for kids and adults alike, while the first-floor tea lounge offered a relaxing spot to unwind with complimentary snacks and drinks. Room amenities were mostly top-notch—especially the bidet toilet, which made mornings much more comfortable. The only minor issue was a slightly loose shower arm, but it didn’t affect the overall comfort. Clean, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere make this hotel a standout choice. If you're looking for a cozy, centrally located stay with great value, I highly recommend giving Tenz Go Hotel a try.

Staying at Just Inn Kaohsiung was a great experience overall. The room was spotlessly clean, with strong water pressure and comfortable bedding that made for a restful night's sleep. While the hotel doesn’t provide complimentary toothpaste, toothbrushes, or disposable slippers—something to keep in mind if you’re traveling light—these are easy to bring along. A few minor notes: since the room is close to the street, morning traffic noise can be noticeable, so earplugs might help if you're sensitive to sound. Also, using the bathtub tends to increase humidity in the room, so airing it out afterward is recommended. Despite these small quirks, the location is fantastic—just a short walk from the lively night market and surrounded by plenty of dining options. Public transportation access is convenient, and everything feels well-connected. For the price and quality, this place offers excellent value. I’d definitely stay here again.

The only downsides are the lack of an elevator and on-site parking, but the platform does offer parking fee reimbursement, so you just need to find a nearby street parking spot or lot. Great value, great location, and a very welcoming atmosphere—definitely planning to return.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the soundproofing; we didn’t hear any noise from neighboring rooms, which made for a peaceful and restful sleep. Overall, this hotel offers excellent comfort, convenience, and affordability. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kaohsiung, especially those looking for a budget-friendly yet high-quality stay.
HUB HOTEL KAOHSIUNG Yisin Branch

Water pressure was strong, and the cleanliness of the room stood out; it felt fresh and well-maintained throughout our stay. What really impressed us was how the front desk team seamlessly merged our two separate bookings into one reservation, eliminating the need to check out and back in—such a thoughtful touch that saved us time and hassle. The location is excellent: right next to a variety of restaurants, convenience stores, and even a pharmacy, making daily needs super convenient. The only minor downside was the sound insulation—some noise from adjacent rooms could be heard, especially during quiet hours—but this didn’t significantly affect our overall experience. All things considered, the comfort, service, and value made this stay highly memorable and worth recommending.
