Walking from Hakata Station to the hotel takes about 10 minutes, and along the way, you'll find convenient 7-Eleven and Lawson stores—perfect for grabbing snacks or late-night treats. The room is compact, and a 28-inch suitcase feels tight when laid out, but overall it's well-designed and comfortable. While there’s a bathtub in the room, the real highlight is the rooftop bath area. Every evening, I made it a point to unwind there—warm, relaxing, and with a great view. It’s definitely the best part of the stay. Clean, peaceful, and very well-maintained. If you're visiting Fukuoka, this is a solid choice with excellent value.

Breakfast was a highlight, offering a great mix of traditional Japanese dishes alongside delicious Western pastries. The cakes and croissants were fresh and flavorful. Staying at Residence Hotel Hakata 19 was a pleasant surprise—comparing it to typical hotel rooms, this apartment-style stay felt significantly larger and more spacious. The included washing machine is a great plus, though it only has wash function without drying capability, which means you’ll need to hang clothes out to dry—slightly inconvenient but manageable. Overall, the location is super convenient for exploring Fukuoka, and the room offers excellent value for money. I’d definitely book again.
We stayed at Fukuoka Recent Hotel for two nights during a concert event at Fukuoka Dome, and it was an excellent experience overall. We arrived late—after midnight following our flight from Haneda—and were initially worried about check-in timing. However, after calling the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that check-in could be extended until 12:00 AM, with clear instructions provided over the phone, including guidance on the main entrance and access via the service gate. The location is very convenient: just 15–20 minutes by train from Fukuoka Airport (with one transfer), and roughly the same distance to PayPay Dome. From Kōsaka-gūmae Station, exit 3 is just a 3-minute walk—however, if you take the ground-level elevator (exit 4), you’ll end up walking much further through dimly lit, poorly illuminated streets, which felt quite unsafe at night. Be sure to plan your route accordingly. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, so pick up essentials like breakfast items before arriving—luckily, there’s a McDonald’s close by, perfect for a quick morning bite. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, ideal for solo travelers. While the air conditioning was off, the building’s central heating made the room feel quite warm, but thankfully the in-room humidifier and air purifier helped maintain a pleasant atmosphere. The private bathtub was a nice touch, but even better was the large shared bathhouse—both times we visited around 11 PM, we were able to enter immediately without any wait. The bath area features four shower heads and a sizable tub suitable for 4–5 people. That said, the changing room is quite narrow, so it might get crowded during peak hours, but our late-night visits ensured smooth access. Amenities were well thought out—complimentary drinks including coffee, tea, green tea, and bottled water were available, and all toiletries were high quality. The front desk staff were exceptionally polite and helpful throughout our stay. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for future trips to Fukuoka—especially if you’re visiting for events or want a quiet, reliable base with great value. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!

Canal City itself is fantastic—well-designed, full of variety, and much more enjoyable to explore than other malls I’ve visited. We recently stayed at Stay Hakata with a group of four or more family members, and it was an absolute hit! The room was spacious and came with plenty of towels—no shortage at all. Having both a gas stove and microwave made cooking simple: we grilled some steak, made quick scrambled eggs, and even reheated convenience meals without any hassle. There are two single beds in the inner room, plus an extra single bed in a small side room near the entrance. That smaller room does have some sound leakage—slight drafts and noise from a nearby karaoke bar could be heard as late as 2–3 AM, so guests sensitive to noise might prefer staying in the inner room. The location is fantastic for food lovers—plenty of casual dining options nearby, and a Seven-Eleven right across the building makes grabbing drinks or snacks super easy. For friends or larger families traveling together, this place is a top recommendation. Great value, convenient access to Hakata Station via subway, and feels like home away from home.
