What really stands out is the nearby supermarket just steps from the station—perfect for grabbing snacks, drinks, or essentials without having to go far. Whether you're here for a quick getaway or exploring Nara’s historic sites, this hotel offers great value and a peaceful, hassle-free stay. The breakfast was delicious and authentically Japanese, and I was pleasantly surprised to see many local Japanese guests here too, which says a lot about the quality. It’s only a comfortable 10-minute walk to Nara Park, perfect for early morning visits. Honestly, I’ve already recommended it to everyone I know. If I ever come back to Kansai, this will be my top pick—plus, it’s more affordable than other options in the area. Yes, the room is small (typical for Japanese hotels), but honestly, it doesn’t take away from the experience at all.

The hostel is a bit tricky to find, but once you get there, it's actually not far from the station. The Wi-Fi connected but didn’t work reliably—though it wasn’t a big issue since we weren’t staying long or needing heavy internet use. There was one guest who kept getting up in the middle of the night looking for their assigned bunk, even though the bed number was clearly written on the envelope. Plus, the snoring was non-stop—some people were loud, others quieter, creating a constant rhythm throughout the night. Still, since we had an early morning departure and were just passing through, it didn’t bother us too much. Overall, despite the quirks, the price-to-quality ratio makes this a solid choice if you're traveling light and prioritize budget over comfort.
