Setre Naramachi

Staying at Setre Naramachi in Nara was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location couldn’t be better—just a 5-minute walk to the Kintetsu station, with countless restaurants, convenience stores, and drugstores right outside the door. What really stood out? The adorable deer greeting guests at the entrance with little bows—so charming! The room itself is spacious and beautifully designed in traditional Japanese style, complete with a small private balcony perfect for morning tea or just relaxing. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming—especially one gentleman in the lobby who spoke fluent Chinese and took extra time to explain hotel amenities and nearby attractions. Breakfast was a highlight: fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and absolutely delicious. Every bite felt special. I left feeling completely refreshed and already planning my next visit. If you’re in Nara, this is definitely the place to stay—and I’ll be recommending it to friends without hesitation.

Nara Visitor Center and Inn

Staying at Nara Visitor Center and Inn was an absolute delight! The room featured traditional Japanese tatami flooring, which gave it a genuine cultural charm—though a bit snug for our family of four, everything we needed was there: a fridge, private bathroom with sink, and access to a spacious shared bath. What made the experience truly special was waking up to see deer strolling around the garden just outside the window—so peaceful and magical. The location is excellent too, just a short walk from major attractions, making it super convenient for exploring Nara. With its authentic vibe, thoughtful amenities, and unforgettable morning views, this place offers incredible value. I’d definitely come back again.

Iroha Grand Hotel Kintetsu Nara Ekimae

I stayed in Nara for just one night, but this hotel absolutely exceeded my expectations—truly an incredible value for the price. The location is fantastic: walking distance to shops, supermarkets, drugstores, and convenience stores, plus plenty of cozy cafes perfect for a morning coffee or breakfast. The room itself was spacious with generous bathroom area, making it feel like a home away from home. On the first floor, they provide complimentary amenities like cotton pads and moisturizer—very thoughtful! For repeat stays, they even offer fresh towels and daily trash collection; just place your used towels in the laundry basket and leave both the basket and trash bin by the door. I’d love to come back and stay longer next time to truly soak in the city’s charm.

JW Marriott Hotel Nara

This is easily one of the best hotels in Nara town. The atmosphere is peaceful and elegant, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless—friendly service, clean rooms, and a lovely ambiance. The breakfast spread was already quite good, but it could be even better with a wider variety of hot dishes and more local specialties. Still, it's a standout choice for anyone visiting Nara. Comfortable, well-located, and truly memorable. I’d definitely stay here again.
