Tenpyo Ryokan
Staying at Tenpyo Ryokan was an absolute highlight of my trip to Nara. The location is perfect—right next to an incredible ramen restaurant that’s worth a visit all on its own. I loved the authentic Japanese experience: sleeping on a traditional futon and soaking in the public hot springs, which felt so relaxing after a day of exploring. For those who prefer privacy, each room also comes with a private bath, making it easy to unwind without sharing space. It’s rare to find such a peaceful, traditional atmosphere with modern comforts. This ryokan truly offers a memorable stay, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for an immersive cultural experience.

The location is unbeatable; just a 5-minute walk to Kintetsu Nara Station, and within walking distance to Nara Park and Todai-ji Temple. I loved the morning breakfast—fresh vegetable bread, eggs, and everything was thoughtfully prepared and presented with care. The room was spotless and comfortably clean, making me feel right at home. When checking out, I showed my grandfather the shrine visit stamp collection I’d gathered in Nara, and he later emailed to remind me to stay safe in the heat—such a sweet, personal touch. It felt less like staying at a rental and more like visiting family. Truly unforgettable, and I’d return in a heartbeat.

This adult-only hotel is a perfect little retreat during our trip to Nara. Despite being a boutique-style property, it offered a comfortable and relaxing stay. The room was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the highlight was having a private sauna — such a nice touch after a long day of exploring. The location is convenient, just a 10–15 minute walk to the nearest convenience store, which made grocery runs easy. One small downside: the staff didn’t have any Japan Post shipping forms on hand, so we couldn’t send our luggage directly from the hotel. We ended up using a 7-Eleven near the metro station instead. Overall, the experience was excellent — quiet, clean, and thoughtfully designed. It’s definitely worth staying at again.

Every room was spotlessly clean, well-organized, and made me feel right at home. Location-wise, it's super convenient—just a short walk to Nara Park, making it easy to explore the city. It’s rare to find such a well-maintained, friendly, and practical place. Definitely recommend this gem to any traveler looking for comfort and warmth in Nara. This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I saw the exterior, it was clear this place had a stylish and thoughtful design. Inside, the lighting details were everywhere—subtle but effective, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s incredibly convenient: just a 7- to 8-minute walk from either Nara Station or Kintetsu Nara Station, making travel in and out of the city so easy. Plus, there’s a Lawson right across the street—perfect for late-night snacks or essentials. The location is truly unbeatable. Thanks to this great setup, my trip felt much more relaxed and enjoyable. I’m already planning to come back again. Highly recommended!

Iroha Grand Hotel Kintetsu Nara Ekimae
I stayed in Nara for just one night, but this hotel absolutely exceeded my expectations—truly an incredible value for the price. The location is fantastic: walking distance to shops, supermarkets, drugstores, and convenience stores, plus plenty of cozy cafes perfect for a morning coffee or breakfast. The room itself was spacious with generous bathroom area, making it feel like a home away from home. On the first floor, they provide complimentary amenities like cotton pads and moisturizer—very thoughtful! For repeat stays, they even offer fresh towels and daily trash collection; just place your used towels in the laundry basket and leave both the basket and trash bin by the door. What really stood out was the peaceful vibe of Nara—the locals are incredibly kind, especially toward the deer, which made the whole experience feel so warm and welcoming. I’d love to come back and stay longer next time to truly soak in the city’s charm.

Even though it was a hot summer day, the air conditioning was already on when we arrived—walking into a cool, refreshing room was such a relief. Best of all, it’s just a short walk from Nara Park, so we could easily take a relaxing evening stroll after dinner. The location is perfect for exploring the area without hassle. With its comfort, convenience, and great value, we’ll definitely book again next time we visit Nara.

This is easily one of the best hotels in Nara town. The atmosphere is peaceful and elegant, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless—friendly service, clean rooms, and a lovely ambiance. The breakfast spread was already quite good, but it could be even better with a wider variety of hot dishes and more local specialties. Still, it's a standout choice for anyone visiting Nara. Comfortable, well-located, and truly memorable. I’d definitely stay here again.

I booked this hotel specifically to visit the Shōsōin Exhibition, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The location is perfect—right across from Kintetsu Nara Station and just steps away from Nara Park. Walking to places like Kasuga Taisha and Todai-ji is incredibly convenient. Despite being next to a busy street, the rooms are surprisingly quiet at night. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was well-equipped with everything you’d need, from toiletries to amenities, all thoughtfully provided. It’s rare to find such comfort and convenience at this price point. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Nara—and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
