Oriental Hotel Fukuoka Hakata Station
Staying at Oriental Hotel Fukuoka Hakata Station was an absolute delight, especially given its unbeatable location right next to Hakata Station. Everything you need—transportation, shopping, dining—is just steps away, making travel and exploration incredibly convenient. On New Year's Day, I enjoyed breakfast at the hotel, and it was truly exceptional: a wide variety of options with high-quality, authentic local dishes that made for a memorable start to the day. The attention to detail, comfort, and hospitality throughout my stay exceeded expectations. It’s rare to find such a well-located, thoughtfully designed hotel in Fukuoka, and I’d highly recommend it to any traveler looking for convenience, comfort, and a genuine Japanese touch.

The location of Nishitetsu Grand Hotel is absolutely fantastic—just a 10-minute walk to Tenjin shopping district, making it super convenient for a day of shopping and sightseeing. If you're tired from wandering around, you can easily head back to the hotel for a quick rest. The triple room was surprisingly spacious, giving us plenty of room to unpack all our luggage without feeling cramped. The lobby has a grand, elegant feel that sets the tone for the whole stay. Plus, there are multiple dining options right within the hotel, so we didn’t need to go far for meals. The staff were friendly and attentive, and every detail contributed to an exceptional experience. I’d definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Fukuoka—it’s truly one of the best value stays I’ve had in Japan.
Hotel JAL City Fukuoka Tenjin
Staying at Hotel JAL City Fukuoka Tenjin was a fantastic experience—clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for our family of three (two adults and one child). The twin room with two beds pushed together offered just the right amount of space, and the beds themselves were spacious and very comfortable. I especially loved the bathroom: it’s well-designed with a clean separation between wet and dry areas, and all fixtures felt modern and high-quality. The only minor downside was that there wasn’t much room to fully open our luggage, which made unpacking slightly tricky—but that’s a small trade-off for everything else. Location-wise, this hotel is unbeatable. The subway station is literally right outside the door, making it super easy to get around town, whether heading to Tenjin or exploring other parts of Fukuoka. With its great comfort, convenient access, and excellent value, I’d definitely book here again on my next trip to Fukuoka.

After a long day of shopping, I loved being able to head back to the hotel, drop off my bags, and keep exploring without carrying anything heavy. The room is compact but thoughtfully designed—everything you need is there, with a nice touch of style. Clean, well-maintained, and super convenient, this place offers great value for money. Even better, they serve a special ramen in the evening, adding a lovely cultural flair to the stay. It’s just a bit on the salty side, but still very enjoyable. The location is perfect—right next to Canal City, with easy access to shopping and public transit. Great value, cozy atmosphere, and a real gem in Fukuoka.

This hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Hakata, just a 5-minute walk from Hakata Station—right across from the bus terminal, making travel super convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and had a smart TV that lets you stream Netflix and YouTube—perfect for unwinding after a long day. But the real highlight? The large onsen bath with natural hot springs and sauna. I soaked every evening, and it completely melted away the stress and fatigue. The facility is spotless, spacious, and well-maintained. Staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall excellent experience. For the price, this is an unbeatable value—definitely going back next time I'm in Fukuoka.

Staying at Dormy Inn Hakata Gion was a fantastic experience—especially the free access to the natural hot spring, Yuki no Yu. Compared to many mid-range hotels, the quality of the onsen is surprisingly excellent. While the room bathroom doesn’t have a bathtub, it’s smartly separated into dry and wet zones, making it practical and spacious. The real highlight, though, is the outdoor onsen pool—warm, clean, and incredibly relaxing. I’d definitely recommend taking a dip after a long day exploring Fukuoka. Location-wise, it’s super easy to find: just exit Hakata Gion Station from Gate 6, turn right down the small alley, cross the traffic light, and the hotel is directly across the street. There’s even a FamilyMart right next door—perfect for late-night snacks or essentials. With great value, comfort, and convenience, this place earns every point on the rating.
Daiwa Roynet Hotel Hakata Reisen Premier - Former Daiwa Roynet Hotel Hakata Reisen
The hotel is incredibly convenient, just a 5-minute walk from the subway station—super easy to get to. There's a convenience store nearby, and Canal City is only a short stroll away, making shopping and dining super accessible. The twin room has spacious beds—one slightly larger than the other—but neither feels cramped at all. We had plenty of room to move around and slept comfortably throughout our stay. Great value for money and an excellent location. Definitely recommend this place if you're visiting Fukuoka.
Hotel Trad Hakata
Staying in central Fukuoka can be tough—most hotels are fully booked, but I was lucky to snag this one with a first-floor room and breakfast included. The hotel opened back in 2000, but everything feels brand new and well-maintained. I loved the little touches at reception: self-serve bath salts with essential oils, plus DHC facial cleansers and skincare products—super thoughtful. Breakfast was excellent—fresh, abundant, and tasty. Location is unbeatable: just a 10-minute walk to Canal City, right across from a drugstore and a 7-Eleven. The room is on the smaller side, but it’s very tidy and efficiently laid out—especially the bathroom and toilet area, which feel surprisingly spacious. One minor downside? The hotel’s own parking requires a Times card, but you don’t need to reserve. There’s also a nearby open-air parking lot just steps away—only 900 yen for 12 hours. I arrived around 10 PM and picked up my car at 10 AM the next day—still only paid 900 yen. That’s an amazing deal for convenience and value. Overall, this place delivers great comfort, quality, and location without breaking the bank.

The hotel itself is clean, well-maintained, and staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. For convenience, comfort, and great value, this is a top pick. I’ll definitely be returning here on my next trip to Fukuoka.
Hakata Excel Hotel Tokyu
Absolutely recommend this hotel! The location is unbeatable—just a 2-minute walk from the subway station, and right across the street is Ichiran's main branch. The view from the hotel is fantastic too; you can see Aibashi Bridge across the way, and just beyond it is a popular Instagram-worthy coffee shop. Head left from the front entrance and you'll reach Canal City in about 10 minutes. Cross the bridge, and in another 10 minutes you're in Tenjin shopping district—perfect for exploring. Inside the room, they provide Pola skincare essentials like makeup remover and facial cleanser, which felt like a nice touch. The facilities are a bit dated, but everything is spotlessly clean, and the elevators don’t require a key card—super convenient. Overall, it’s a great value with excellent access to everything. I’d definitely stay here again.

The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive—always smiling, ready to help with anything, and genuinely make you feel welcome. My room was clean, quiet, and well-designed, with a comfortable bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. The overall experience was outstanding, and the value for money is unbeatable. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.
