The room itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, though it didn’t include slippers, which was a small inconvenience we had to plan for. Dining was a highlight—there’s a large cafeteria on the third floor plus several restaurants offering a wide variety of options, from Japanese cuisine to Western dishes. The food was delicious, generous in portion, and very reasonably priced. With no need to leave the property, I spent my entire day enjoying meals, soaking in the hot springs, and relaxing—perfect for a stress-free getaway. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and a little bit of holiday magic.

Located just steps away from Kakogawa Station, getting around Osaka is super convenient via the subway. The neighborhood is incredibly walkable too—two convenience stores and a large supermarket are right outside, offering everything from Korean cuisine and ramen shops to local izakayas, McDonald’s, and pizza places. Whether you’re craving something quick or want to cook in, there’s no shortage of options. With excellent value, top-notch cleanliness, and a smart, modern setup, this place truly stands out. I’d definitely recommend it to any family or travelers looking for comfort and convenience in central Osaka.

If you're after convenience, central access, and a cozy base, this place is worth considering.

Even though it’s a tourist-heavy neighborhood, the hotel is surprisingly quiet and peaceful—definitely not noisy or overwhelming. Housekeeping was excellent; I actually overslept one day, and they still cleaned my room without any hassle—something I’ve never seen at other hotels. The room itself felt more spacious than your average chain hotel, which made all the difference. Plus, getting around via train and shopping nearby is super convenient. One downside? The yakitori skewers aren’t worth it—overpriced and just okay in flavor. But honestly, when you factor in everything else, the value for money here is outstanding. For the price, this hotel delivers far more than expected. Definitely a hidden gem that I’d recommend over many others.

This was my first stay at Citadines Namba Osaka, and I was genuinely impressed. The hotel is housed in the former Takashimaya department store, blending classic Japanese architecture with modern, well-maintained interiors. The building has a charming old-world feel from the outside, but inside, everything feels fresh and spotless. I booked a family room, and it came fully equipped with a fridge, washing machine, stove, and kitchenware—perfect for self-catering, especially when traveling with kids. Location-wise, it's unbeatable: just an 8-minute walk from Namba Station, and Black Gate Market is literally around the corner. Everything you need—from local street food to shopping—is within easy reach. The staff were warm and welcoming, with excellent English skills, making the whole experience feel personal and comfortable. One small note: the kids' playroom is quite compact—about 20 sqm—so it can only comfortably fit three or four young children at a time. It would be great if it could be expanded. Also, breakfast options are fairly basic, nothing special. Still, considering the convenience, cleanliness, and overall value, this hotel stands out. If I’m back in Osaka, this will definitely be my top choice again.
