No problem—Nagatacho and the famous foreigner district are just a short stroll away, ideal for catching up on local bakery stops. Plus, free coffee all day long—huge plus! The only thing to note is that weekend rates are a bit steep, but weekdays offer unbeatable value. If I’m back in Kobe and find a good deal, this will be my top pick again. Highly recommend!

This was my second visit to Kobe, and I chose Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kobe-Sannomiya Premier this time instead of the older harbor-side hotel. The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from Sannomiya Station, with shopping malls, restaurants, and local eateries all within easy reach. Public transport access is seamless, and everything you’d want for a day out is just steps away. Breakfast was decent—not overly elaborate, but offered a good mix of Japanese and Western options, with flavors that were fresh and satisfying. One thing that stood out (in a slightly confusing way) was the absence of boiled eggs, which is rare in Japanese hotels I’ve stayed at before. The laundry machine is a modern drum type with a sanitizing function, and it’s accessible via mobile payment—perfect for solo travelers or small groups. Even with only one machine available, there was no waiting. The bathroom features a great wet/dry separation setup, and I truly appreciated being able to soak in the tub each evening after a long day. That alone made the stay feel luxurious. Overall, the experience was excellent—clean, convenient, and thoughtfully designed. I’d definitely choose this hotel again on future trips to Kobe.
