Stayed here multiple times and always impressed! Opened in 2021, the room is bright, clean, and spotless—really impressive hygiene standards. Everything you need is available: a solid TV system for entertainment, a super comfortable soft bed, and thoughtful lighting throughout—each step has a light, which adds to the cozy, welcoming feel. It truly feels like home, just like the Homeinn experience I’ve come to love. Staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive without being overbearing. The location near Xiaxigou Metro Station is convenient, and the overall value is excellent. I’ve stayed here several times already and will definitely be back on my next trip to Urumqi.
Haowei Hotel (Ergong Gymnasium University of Finance and Economics)
I arrived at the hotel a bit earlier than expected—around 7:00 AM—due to travel time, and since it was still early for Xinjiang’s schedule, there were no available rooms. The cleaning staff wouldn’t start until 10:00 AM, so I grabbed a quick breakfast nearby and waited in the lobby. To my surprise, the owner couldn’t just sit back—he personally came up to clean the room himself and got me checked in ahead of schedule. Such a thoughtful gesture made a huge difference! My room was clean, bright, and had a window with a lovely view of trees outside. Right downstairs are tons of local restaurants and street food options—perfect for anyone who loves authentic flavors. The location is super convenient too, close to public transport and major spots like Ergong Gymnasium and the University of Finance and Economics. Considering this is peak summer season in Xinjiang, the price is absolutely unbeatable. This place offers amazing value, comfort, and genuine hospitality. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to fellow travelers.

The staff truly stood out—the front desk agent greeted me with a warm smile and checked me in quickly, even offering helpful tips on nearby restaurants and pharmacies. I stayed at C'est La Vie Youth Hostel during the Urumqi Marathon in August 2025, booking a single room for four nights from the 27th to the 30th. The dorm rooms are set up with 3–4 single bunk beds per room—perfect for solo travelers like me. Male and female guests are separated into different rooms, and shared bathrooms are also gender-divided, which I appreciated for privacy. The bedding was clean and changed daily—very hygienic. There’s also a cozy common area ideal for relaxing or meeting other travelers. The staff noticed I’m an older guest and kindly assigned me a lower bunk, plus helped me connect to Wi-Fi on my phone—small gestures, but really thoughtful. The price is super affordable, and it clearly draws a lot of visitors—by the 30th night, the place was completely booked. On the 31st, I returned late in the afternoon and needed time to freshen up; the team didn’t mind at all, showing great flexibility. Overall, this hostel exceeded my expectations—great value, friendly staff, and a welcoming vibe. If I ever come back to Urumqi, I’ll definitely stay here again.
