What stood out most was the stunning Chinese-inspired interior design throughout the property, complete with a charming miniature 'Forbidden City' entrance that’s perfect for photos. The room had excellent climate control with adjustable air conditioning, and the bathroom even featured underfloor heating—very cozy during the chilly Moscow weather. Breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of options from local Russian treats to international favorites. Everything was fresh and well-prepared. This hotel offers incredible value and comfort—highly recommend it for anyone visiting Moscow who wants a relaxing, stylish stay.

Petroff Palace Boutique Hotel

Absolutely loved my stay at this charming boutique hotel in Moscow! The moment I walked in, I was struck by the historic castle-like exterior and the warm, inviting atmosphere. The room was spacious, cozy, and so quiet—perfect for a restful night's sleep. The bathroom had excellent water pressure, making the shower a real highlight. Staff were incredibly professional and spoke fluent English, which made check-in and planning my itinerary super easy. Even though the twin room was slightly smaller than the king room, it was still generously sized and well-designed. What really stood out was the incredible value—this place feels much more luxurious than its price suggests. I can't believe it’s not more popular on social media platforms like Xiaohongshu. If you're visiting Moscow, don’t miss this gem—it’s a true hidden treasure.

Chekhoff Hotel Moscow Curio Collection by Hilton

This hotel has quickly become one of my top picks in Moscow. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome with warm, attentive service—always ready to help without being intrusive. The location is excellent: just a short walk from major attractions and public transit, making it super easy to explore the city. My room was immaculate, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed with modern amenities and high-quality furnishings. Everything felt well-maintained, from the bedding to the bathroom fixtures—no signs of wear at all. The quiet, comfortable atmosphere made for a restful night’s sleep, which is a must when traveling. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this hotel delivers an exceptional experience. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Moscow—it's truly a standout choice.

Hotel Continental

I stayed at Hotel Continental when it first opened 15 years ago, and returning now, everything is still top-notch! The hairdryer in the room is absolutely amazing—lightweight yet incredibly powerful. I didn’t expect such strong airflow from something so compact. It made getting ready so much easier. The hotel maintains its charm and excellent service over the years, which is rare these days. Located just minutes from the city center via metro, it’s both convenient and well-priced. If I ever return to Moscow, this will be my go-to choice again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting!

Safmar Grand Moscow (ex-Marriott Grand)

Staying here for a company conference was an absolute surprise in the best way possible. Even though the hotel has that classic, traditional feel of a legacy five-star property, it’s actually part of the former Marriott Grand brand—so you know the standards are solid. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-maintained, with thoughtful touches like quality toiletries and comfortable slippers. It’s incredibly convenient—just two metro stops to the Opera Station, right near the Kremlin. Plus, there’s a supermarket nearby, making daily needs easy. I’d definitely book again for future business trips. Great location, excellent service, and real value for money. A top pick for travelers visiting Moscow on work.

Safmar Palace Hotel Moscow (ex.Sheraton Palace)

Stayed just one night, but the experience completely exceeded my expectations. The hotel isn’t brand new, but it’s spotless and well-maintained with a modern touch—clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with anything. Location is excellent: just a short walk from the Airport Express station and Belorussky Railway Station. Red Square and Arbat Street are within a 40-50 minute stroll—perfect for exploring on foot. And right outside the door? A variety of restaurants and cafes, so dinner options are never far away. Breakfast was outstanding—wide range of choices, and the highlight? Sparkling wine served with the meal! It’s such a nice little surprise. Great value for money, top-notch service, and a fantastic base for exploring Moscow. Definitely coming back.

Aerostar Hotel Moscow

This is hands down my favorite hotel in Russia so far, and the value for money is absolutely unbeatable at this price point. The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk to the Dinamo metro station, and you can even stroll through the forest park for a peaceful route. Nearby, there are plenty of shops and dining options, making daily life super easy. I especially loved the beef and lamb fried rice from the restaurant right behind the hotel—it’s rich, flavorful, and totally worth a visit. I heard the property was recently acquired by Azimut, so prices might go up soon. If you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and great quality without breaking the bank, book it now before the rates change.

Novotel Moscow Center

Staying at Novotel Moscow Center was an absolute pleasure, especially for travelers who value convenience and efficiency. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—it’s literally right outside the Mendeleevskaya Metro station, so you can hop on the subway just steps from your door. This made getting around Moscow incredibly easy, whether heading to major attractions or exploring local neighborhoods. The breakfast spread wasn’t overly elaborate, but it was fresh, well-prepared, and free of some common staples like fried potatoes or mashed potatoes—something I personally appreciate, especially when pairing with salty fish. What really stood out was the staff’s service attitude. When I needed to store my luggage before check-in, the team was warm, helpful, and genuinely attentive. It’s clear they care about guest experience. For anyone visiting Moscow and looking for a comfortable, centrally located stay with great transit access and friendly service, this is a top-tier choice. I’ll definitely be returning.

All Music Hostel #1 Mayakovskaya

My first visit to Moscow during the 2018 FIFA World Cup was unforgettable, and staying at All Music Hostel #1 Mayakovskaya made it even better. The room was cozy, spotlessly clean, and so was the bathroom and toilet—everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The vibe here is incredibly homely; it’s like coming home after a long, energetic day exploring the city. Even if you can’t sleep right away, the calming sounds of Massive Attack playing in the background make it easy to unwind. And don’t even get me started on the staff—friendly, helpful, and always ready to chat late into the night. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for self-catering, and the onboard safe gives peace of mind. Breakfast was a highlight: those fried eggs with bacon were absolutely delicious—I could eat them every single morning! Next time, I’ll try the pancakes if I manage to wake up earlier. Honestly, this place is a must-stay if you're visiting Moscow. It’s not just affordable—it’s genuinely special.

Rasteniya I Nastroeniya Hotel

We arrived late at night after a short taxi ride, and despite the slightly tricky location—hidden a bit off the main street and requiring a short walk toward the center of the block—the staff were welcoming and efficient with check-in. The room was cozy, quiet, and perfect for a good night’s sleep. We booked a private bathroom option, and everything was spotless and recently renovated. While there’s no closet, that’s part of its charm—ideal for quick getaways. The entire space is made of wood, giving it a warm, inviting atmosphere. There’s no blackout curtain, but the lighting blends naturally with the rustic aesthetic. Downstairs, there’s a charming café serving excellent breakfasts: delicious pastries, a wide variety of teas, and especially rich, homemade porridge. It’s a small gem in Moscow’s neighborhood. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Minima Belorusskaya Hotel

I’ve stayed here twice already, and each visit gets better! The location is fantastic—just one metro stop from the city center, and it’s only a 9-minute walk to Belorusskaya Station. I love how close everything is: right next to the Depot food hall, with a nice little park nearby, and you can even walk to the Moscow Zoo. The room itself is clean and cozy, though the shower area is a bit small and there’s no shelf at all—definitely could use a little more storage space. Still, the convenience, comfort, and overall value make it worth it. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Moscow.

Sultan-2

The location provided for this hotel was completely off—spending over an hour circling around the wrong spot due to unreliable GPS in Russia, which often drifts. I finally found the actual address only after calling a local resident for help. The real place is nearly a kilometer away from where it's listed on the platform, making it extremely difficult to locate. It's situated deep within a residential neighborhood, very quiet and far from any main attractions. The room itself is tiny, with a bed width of less than 80 cm—definitely not comfortable for a good night’s sleep. I had hoped being close to Belarus Station would make my next-day departure easier, but that wasn’t the case; it’s actually quite a distance away. There’s no front desk—just an apartment-style setup—so you’re entirely reliant on phone communication, which can be stressful if you don’t speak Russian. For first-time visitors to Moscow who don’t speak the language, I strongly advise avoiding this property. Arriving late at night? You’ll probably end up lost and frustrated. Overall, poor value, misleading location, and a frustrating experience.
