Every interaction felt personal and genuine. This place offers such a special blend of elegance, comfort, and cultural charm. I’d definitely come back to this hotel on my next trip to Chengdu.

The bedding felt luxurious, matching what you’d expect from a five-star hotel, and the bath products had a subtle, pleasant scent that left hair feeling smooth and fresh. What truly sets this place apart is its history—it’s actually a restored manor house from over 200 years ago, with original beams, carved woodwork, and an authentic classical ambiance that makes every moment feel special. We ended up canceling our original booking and extended our stay by three more nights. Plus, when we traveled to Dujiangyan or Jiuzhaigou, they happily stored our luggage. On our return, there was a mix-up with the room assignment, but the team handled it instantly—offering a complimentary upgrade to a suite with a private hot tub. The rooftop beams and old-world architecture were absolutely stunning. Even better, staff went the extra mile by calling my previous hotel to arrange a panda plushie for me. That kind of personal touch? Priceless. I’ll definitely be back to stay here whenever I visit Chengdu.

One thing to note: the 'Flower Time' activities are plentiful, but be sure to check with reception each day as schedules can change unexpectedly—I had a conflict and missed out on a few, which was a bit disappointing. Taikoo Li itself is a high-end boutique shopping street, home to a 1,400-year-old temple, Da Cisi, adding a unique cultural vibe. The hotel is super convenient — just steps from Metro Lines 2 and 3, or you can walk straight through the underground passage beside the hotel to reach the mall. Personally, that route felt smoother and faster. The building has floor access control, but since it’s a mixed-use residential-commercial space, there are often people waiting for the elevator, so if you’re in a rush, plan ahead. That said, everything runs smoothly overall. Before check-in, the manager reached out via WeChat to send over key info and offer instant support — super helpful for any issues like unfamiliar devices. Room amenities were excellent: plenty of outlets, fast Wi-Fi, reliable Daikin HVAC system, washer with detergent included, plus a coffee maker and tea bags (the tea was surprisingly good!). Daily mineral water refills made life easy. The projector TV worked well — just use the remote to adjust focus if needed. One small downside: TV channels weren’t as varied as expected. It seems regional content is limited, and the streaming box requires an account to access. That part needs a quick chat with the manager to sort out. But honestly, these are minor gripes. For the location, comfort, and service, this place delivers top-tier value. I’d definitely book here again on my next visit to Chengdu.
