Arima Onsen Hyoe Koyokaku Kobe

Staying at Arima Onsen Hyoe Koyokaku in Kobe was an absolute delight. I booked a traditional Japanese-style room, and it was spacious and cozy with efficient heating—perfect for the chilly weather. The bathroom featured a smart dry-wet separation, and cleanliness was excellent throughout. The onsen experience? A solid 10/10. The outdoor baths are separated by gender, set in a peaceful, serene environment with plenty of lounge space to relax before or after soaking. They even provide complimentary towels, hair dryers, and toiletries—no need to pack extra stuff. Staff were incredibly attentive and warm-hearted. Since we traveled with our young child, the restaurant team went above and beyond—offering kid-friendly utensils and a welcoming atmosphere that made mealtime stress-free. Kinzan（Adult only）

It’s been 20 years since I last visited Arima Onsen, and this time it was a special trip to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday with the family. Staying at Kinzan, an adult-only hotel, made the experience even more relaxing and intimate—no noisy kids, just peace and quiet. The highlight? Having a private hot spring right in our room. We could soak whenever we wanted, no need to rush or share space—so convenient and truly luxurious. The meals were exceptional too—thoughtfully prepared, delicious, and beautifully presented. And with a check-out time of noon, we had plenty of time to unwind and enjoy every last moment without rushing. This stay was more than just a getaway—it felt like a true retreat. I’d absolutely come back here again if given the chance.

Arima Grand Hotel

This hotel truly exceeded all my expectations—top-tier ambiance, exceptional facilities, and outstanding service. The complimentary shuttle bus runs throughout the day, making it super convenient to reach Arima Onsen Station just 20 minutes away (about a 700-meter walk). From the moment I stepped into the room, I was greeted by stunning views through the window—natural scenery that instantly calmed my mind. The gold and silver baths on the 9th floor were absolutely rejuvenating; soaking in them left me feeling refreshed and relaxed. They also offer free matcha tea, which is deliciously smooth and aromatic—a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was abundant and varied, while lunch provided excellent value for money. One of the hidden gems? A small temple right behind the hotel. A short hike up the hill rewards you with panoramic views of the entire Arima Onsen town—breathtaking. This stay wasn’t just comfortable—it felt like a peaceful retreat. I’d definitely come back again.
