We had reserved two double rooms with breakfast ten days in advance, including another property under the same chain on Kronshtadtsky Prospekt. On arrival day (when options were already slim), we got a cheerful notification: "Your reservation has been successfully canceled." Both hotels at once. I didn’t cancel anything—I assumed it must be a mistake. Then came follow-up messages citing "technical issues" preventing check-ins. I get one hotel having problems, but two properties in the same network? That’s suspicious. I called the hotel directly; they seemed completely unaware of our booking. After hearing about the emails and cancellation notices, they just hesitated and confirmed: "Yes, we’re not accepting guests due to technical reasons." So here we were—literally stranded on the street with no place to stay. We had to scramble last-minute for whatever was available, ruining our entire trip. What made it worse? One of the rooms was a gift I’d booked for a friend. Even if they offered us free stays and gold-plated amenities, I wouldn’t dare book again. I now seriously doubt whether these hotels even physically exist—or if this is just some kind of game where they cancel bookings right before arrival. It’s not just bad service; it’s a complete lack of respect for guests.
