He even handed me a traditional folding fan as a thoughtful gesture, which added such a poetic touch to the experience. What really stood out was their attention to detail: they proactively asked if I preferred a non-smoking floor, which made a huge difference for someone sensitive to odors. The location is unbeatable—right next to Sichuan University, with a lively hot pot restaurant just across the street. And yes, the live performances featuring stunningly dressed NPC actors throughout the lobby are absolutely worth experiencing—there’s real energy and cultural immersion here. Millennium Hotel Chengdu

Staying at Millennium Hotel Chengdu (South Station Branch) was a great experience overall. The room I booked was a scenic view room with plenty of space, and the view across the street to Xianshentree Park was absolutely stunning—perfect for morning light or evening city views. However, the windows were completely non-operable, which made ventilation an issue. I understand safety concerns due to the high floor level, but allowing a small opening would be much more practical than having no airflow at all. The staff were excellent—especially the concierge who helped me collect my package, saving me a lot of time. For food delivery, unfortunately, you have to go downstairs yourself to pick it up; a robot delivery service would be a nice upgrade. The laundry room only has one dryer, which became a major bottleneck during peak holiday periods—adding another unit would make a big difference. On the hygiene side, there’s room for improvement: no trash bags in any of the bins, making them uncomfortable to use, and there were stubborn stains on the bathroom floor that weren’t visible until I moved the carpet accidentally. Despite these minor issues, the hotel met my expectations. Great location, good value, and I’d definitely choose this place again when visiting Chengdu.

From the moment I booked, Emily, the guest relations manager, reached out with a friendly phone call, making sure everything was taken care of. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable – just across the street from In99, where dining, shopping, and entertainment are all within easy reach. Yet, despite being in the heart of the action, the hotel somehow manages to feel calm and serene – more peaceful than the Waldorf right next door. This stay was truly flawless.
