This is easily one of the best hotels in Nara town. The atmosphere is peaceful and elegant, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless—friendly service, clean rooms, and a lovely ambiance. The breakfast spread was already quite good, but it could be even better with a wider variety of hot dishes and more local specialties. Still, it's a standout choice for anyone visiting Nara. Comfortable, well-located, and truly memorable. I’d definitely stay here again.
Novotel Nara
Staying at Novotel Nara was an absolute delight! This business-class hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort and value. The room was immaculate, with plush bedding that made for a restful night's sleep. Everything was well-maintained—no strange odors, spotless cleanliness, and the hot water was strong and consistently warm. High-quality toiletries from reputable brands were provided in the bathroom, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and moisturizer—all with pleasant scents and excellent performance. The air conditioning worked flawlessly, especially during winter, delivering steady heat without any noise disruption. Located near convenience stores, restaurants, and a shopping complex, everything you need is within easy reach. The mini-fridge in the room runs silently, and there’s a safe for added peace of mind. On the second floor, I enjoyed complimentary access to the fitness center, a relaxing onsen, and a massage chair—perfect for unwinding after a long day. There’s also a dedicated kids’ activity room, making it ideal for families. One standout feature was the quiet hallway and excellent soundproofing—no noise from neighboring rooms, even late at night. The lobby is on the 3rd floor, and one of the first things you notice is the elegant wall displays featuring photos of past royal guests, including visits from the Emperor himself—such a unique touch that adds real character to the hotel. While the interior design isn’t brand new, everything is well-maintained and spotlessly clean. The rooms are comfortable, with good lighting and quiet surroundings. What really stands out is the nearby supermarket just steps from the station—perfect for grabbing snacks, drinks, or essentials without having to go far. Whether you're here for a quick getaway or exploring Nara’s historic sites, this hotel offers great value and a peaceful, hassle-free stay. Highly recommend it for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and a touch of heritage.

Staying at THE KAKU was an absolute delight! The traditional Japanese machiya design is beautifully preserved, yet the rooms are equipped with all the comforts of a luxury hotel—think plush bedding, modern amenities, and thoughtful touches throughout. The staff went above and beyond with their warm, attentive service, making us feel truly welcome. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better—Nara Park is just a short walk away, perfect for morning deer encounters and exploring the historic area. There’s also a great selection of cafes and restaurants within easy reach, so dinner options are never an issue. I was lucky enough to be the first guest after renovation, which meant everything felt fresh, clean, and brand new. It’s rare to find such a unique stay with such high standards—my family and I will definitely return. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

The corner room has amazing natural light and feels more spacious than expected. You can see the train station right from the window, making travel super convenient—especially with the second-floor skywalk connecting directly to the station. No need to worry about the weather when heading out. There's a 7-Eleven on the ground floor, and just a 2-minute walk brings you to cozy cafes and a local bakery for breakfast or an afternoon treat. The bus to Todai-ji Temple is located on the opposite side of the station plaza, so it’s easy to access. The front desk staff were incredibly polite and patient—answered all my questions clearly and warmly. From location to service, everything was top-notch. This place offers excellent value and made our stay in Nara smooth and enjoyable. Definitely coming back.
HOTEL LiVEMAX Nara Ekimae
This hotel completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I saw the exterior, it was clear this place had a stylish and thoughtful design. Inside, the lighting details were everywhere—subtle but effective, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. It’s incredibly convenient: just a 7- to 8-minute walk from either Nara Station or Kintetsu Nara Station, making travel in and out of the city so easy. Plus, there’s a Lawson right across the street—perfect for late-night snacks or essentials. The location is truly unbeatable. Thanks to this great setup, my trip felt much more relaxed and enjoyable. I’m already planning to come back again. Highly recommended!

For repeat stays, they even offer fresh towels and daily trash collection; just place your used towels in the laundry basket and leave both the basket and trash bin by the door. What really stood out was the peaceful vibe of Nara—the locals are incredibly kind, especially toward the deer, which made the whole experience feel so warm and welcoming. I’d love to come back and stay longer next time to truly soak in the city’s charm.

Even though it was a hot summer day, the air conditioning was already on when we arrived—walking into a cool, refreshing room was such a relief. Best of all, it’s just a short walk from Nara Park, so we could easily take a relaxing evening stroll after dinner. The location is perfect for exploring the area without hassle. The room itself was well-equipped with everything you’d need, from toiletries to amenities, all thoughtfully provided. It’s rare to find such comfort and convenience at this price point. I’ll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Nara—and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
