However, the reality falls far short of expectations. The water barely comes out of the bathroom tap, the shower area is completely inadequate, and the furnishings look old and poorly assembled. Cleaning was extremely poor—there’s no excuse for such low standards in a guest accommodation. When I asked about a hairdryer, I was told there wasn’t one available, which is unacceptable for even basic amenities. The entire property consists of two containers sitting in an empty spot, turning into a sauna during the day and freezing at night. It feels like no care was put into either the space or the guests. Honestly, this place might appeal to someone seeking an extreme off-grid experience, but for most travelers looking for a decent stay, this is not worth it. If you’re after something unique and don’t mind rough conditions, maybe it’s for you. But for comfort, cleanliness, and hospitality? Definitely not recommended.

It’s near the main road, so nighttime traffic noise can be noticeable if you’re a light sleeper. Also, while not directly on the beach, the sea view is a bit of a stretch—still, the location makes up for it. Everything you’d expect in a well-run boutique stay: a kettle, complimentary bottled water, and top-notch breakfast. I literally couldn’t finish all the food—so generous! And the coffee? Hands down the best I’ve had in years—rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. If I ever return to Heraklion, this will be my first choice again.
