Breakfast is served on the fifth floor, offering an impressive variety (as shown in the photo), with a clean and pleasant dining atmosphere. What stood out was the row of potted succulents lining the hallway—so many little green plants that brought a fresh, calming vibe to the entire floor. Plus, there are two laundry machines on the same level, which is super convenient for longer stays. Everything from space to amenities feels thoughtfully designed, and the value-for-money aspect is outstanding. A truly memorable stay!

It’s been a few days since I left, but I finally got around to writing this review. I’ve always trusted the IHG brand—whether for leisure or business trips, it’s usually my go-to choice. This time, I stayed at this Holiday Inn Express branch in Kunming, which is a bit further from the city center, but honestly, it didn’t matter at all. The hotel’s facilities, the comfort of the bedding, and the overall service were all excellent—truly exceeded expectations. What stood out most was the two front desk staff members who were so warm and welcoming every time we passed by. It felt like seeing family members each day. Their genuine hospitality made the whole experience even more memorable. As always, IHG delivered a top-notch stay, and I’ll definitely choose them again on my next trip to Kunming. A special shout-out to those two amazing ladies—I even took photos of their name tags before leaving, hoping they get recognized and appreciated by the company. (Oops, forgot to take pictures of the hotel itself, but trust me—it’s clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable.)
