Their efficiency and genuine care made the whole experience seamless. Everything was so well-organized, and the value for money is unbeatable. This place feels just like home—so welcoming and authentic. It’s my second summer staying at Eco-Hotel El Rey del Caribe, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made for my trip. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the breakfast is fresh, varied, and delicious. Rooms are clean, well-maintained, and come with a small fridge and electric stove—perfect for preparing simple meals. The pool area is peaceful and perfect for relaxing under the sun. What really stands out is the local charm—the rustic decor and warm atmosphere make you feel instantly at ease. Location-wise, it’s super convenient: the R1 bus to Hotel Zone and the beach is just steps away, and ADO buses are nearby for trips to the airport, Tulum, Playa del Carmen, and more. There’s also a grocery store close by for essentials. Don’t miss Plaza Las Palapas—this open-air market offers some of the most authentic and tasty traditional Mexican food around. Safe, comfortable, and full of character—this hotel truly delivers on every level.
Hotel Blue Star Cancun
Staying at Hotel Blue Star Cancun was a mixed experience. While the rates are reasonable compared to other options in Cancun, cleanliness left much to be desired—hair was visible on the floor upon arrival, which wasn’t reassuring. During the day, we asked staff to empty our trash (the room only provides one small bin for all waste, including toilet paper), but they never followed up, forcing us to carry it downstairs ourselves. Breakfast consisted of stale cereal, weak coffee, basic toast, and overripe fruit—nothing exciting. We paid extra for chilaquiles, but they were underseasoned and lacked the expected spice. On the positive side, the hot water worked well, and the counter space was generous. However, the lack of a bathroom fan was frustrating, and thin glass doors and windows made the room very echoey—you could clearly hear guests talking next door. The hairdryer was dangerously hot, making it unusable. Overall, while the price point is fair, improvements in hygiene, soundproofing, and amenities would go a long way in raising the overall value.

Special thanks to Ms. Ruby Rodríguez for her exceptional hospitality—she was attentive, warm, and incredibly helpful with any small maintenance issues we noticed; they were fixed right away after reporting. The breakfast was outstanding—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Julio was also very kind and welcoming during breakfast service. Every detail felt cared for, and the overall vibe was cozy and authentic. This place offers amazing value and a genuine sense of warmth. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cancun.

Ernesto was an absolutely wonderful host—warm, attentive, and genuinely made us feel at home. The view from the property is breathtaking, with endless blue skies meeting the turquoise sea. We spent most of our time lounging by the ocean and on the beach, soaking in the tranquility. I even woke up extra early just to catch the sunrise—it was magical. The apartment’s kitchen was fully equipped, so we enjoyed preparing fresh meals with local ingredients. We could easily walk to the street and hop on the small shuttle vans or grab a taxi for quick trips around town. Everything about this place felt effortless and authentic. It’s not just a stay—it’s an experience. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you, Ernesto and Uncle, for such a truly unforgettable getaway.

The rooms are like small cabins with a charming, rustic vibe—perfect for a relaxed getaway. They’re compact but well-designed, and come equipped with essentials like air conditioning, a stove, microwave, and basic kitchenware, making self-catering easy and convenient. That said, since the space is limited, some areas (like corners and behind furniture) could use a bit more attention during cleaning—there were minor dust spots and a few cobwebs, but nothing major. Overall, it’s clean enough for casual travelers who aren’t too particular. If you’re after comfort and affordability without breaking the bank, this is a solid choice.

I ended up staying at this hotel in Cancún after a last-minute travel change forced me into a desperate search for accommodation during a stressful moment. The property feels outdated, and my room had a noticeable musty smell. Unfortunately, there's no breakfast included—just free coffee and water available at the front desk throughout the day. Daily room cleaning was decent, but the pool looked dirty and uninviting, so I didn’t even consider using it. On the bright side, having a mini-fridge and microwave in the room made preparing simple meals easy and helped cut down food costs during my trip. There’s also an OXXO convenience store just around the corner, and Las Palapas Park is only an 8-minute walk away—great for location. Still, given the overall condition and lack of amenities, I wouldn’t book here again. There are definitely better options in downtown Cancún if you’re looking for comfort and value.

The property feels recently renovated—clean, modern, and well-maintained, making the whole experience feel fresh and comfortable. Any minor issues were addressed quickly and efficiently, showing great responsiveness. The only small downside? The exterior signage isn’t very clear, but it’s still easy to find once you’re close. It’s a bit far from downtown, so taxis can add up, but its proximity to the airport makes it perfect for early departures or late-night arrivals. If you value convenience, comfort, and friendly service, this hotel delivers. Highly recommended for travelers looking for a reliable, hassle-free stay in Cancún.
Casa Cielo Cancun
Stayed from March 1st to 8th and couldn’t be happier with the experience at Casa Cielo Cancun. This was the first rental I’ve booked that actually looks exactly like the photos—no surprises, just as advertised. The exterior has been updated recently, so even though the street view is a bit outdated, the property now looks fresh and inviting. The only minor downside was the lack of a refrigerator in the room, but honestly, it wasn’t a big issue—there are plenty of nearby convenience stores, and we never had trouble getting cold drinks or snacks. The location is fantastic, close to everything, and walking distance to great spots. Overall, the value for money is excellent, and the vibe of the place made our trip feel relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Cancun.
