Every little detail shows care: chocolates shaped like old-school cassette tapes on the pillows, fresh flowers, handwritten notes, cookies, and fruit on the coffee table—so much charm! The shower experience was magical too—I could scan a QR code to play music while soaking, which added such a relaxing touch. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with excellent support and soft, cozy pillows. After a long day or late-night work session, sleeping here felt like pure bliss. There’s also a USB port by the bed (though charging was a bit slow), plus complimentary shoe-cleaning sponges, slippers, and other thoughtful extras. Breakfast is served downstairs and offers a great mix of hot dishes made fresh, cold platters, and drinks. It’s more than just adequate—it’s satisfying and well-balanced. Overall, the location is convenient, the staff friendly, and the value for money is fantastic. If you’re visiting Madrid, this is definitely a top pick. I’ll be back.

The Ilunion Pio XII hotel offers a clean, well-maintained environment and a solid breakfast selection—both are definitely highlights. That said, the location is quite far from the city center and main attractions. If you're only staying for one or two nights, it might be better to choose a place closer to the action. The good news? Bus line 150 stops right outside the hotel and goes directly to Puerta del Sol with no transfers, making public transit a convenient option. Just keep in mind that taxis in Madrid are extremely expensive—my ride from the hotel to the city center cost over €30, which isn’t ideal for short stays. Overall, this hotel works better for longer visits when you’re looking to save on transport costs and don’t mind a bit of distance. For travelers prioritizing convenience and budget, especially those planning to explore on foot or by bus, this place offers great value.
