One downside was the lack of bathrobes in the room. We called to request one, but were told it would cost 50 euros—really? In a five-star property, you shouldn’t have to pay extra for a simple robe. Maybe we misunderstood and it was supposed to be a deposit, but if so, that should’ve been clearly communicated upon check-in. Also, they asked for a credit card at check-in—possibly as a security measure in case something goes missing. We used a debit card instead, which worked fine, but the whole process left a slightly negative impression. Overall, the hotel offers great value and a wonderful atmosphere, but these little inconsistencies leave us wondering whether we’ll return. It’s not a deal-breaker, but definitely something worth reconsidering.
