Upon entering, we noticed the room was quite warm—apparently the heating was turned up full blast, which isn’t very eco-friendly. We quickly turned it off and opened the windows for fresh air. Despite being near the airport, the room remained incredibly quiet—even with the windows open! After about half an hour, the front desk called to check if everything was alright, which showed genuine care and attention. The mattresses were a bit soft for our taste, but since it was just one night, it wasn’t an issue. Overall, we chose Leonardo Hamburg Airport Hotel because of its proximity to the airport and the convenience of leaving our car there during our trip. Highly recommend for short stays or layovers.

We booked apartment C in Eppendorf without realizing it wasn’t listed on the website. Upon arrival, we were extremely disappointed—the actual unit looked nothing like the photos and descriptions shown for apartments A and B. To make matters worse, the apartment hadn’t been cleaned at all. After raising a complaint, cleaning was done the next day, but no refund or discount was offered for the first night spent in an uncleaned room. With limited time and no alternative accommodations available for two adults and a 2-year-old child, we had no choice but to stay. While we understand things happen, it’s frustrating when basic information isn’t transparent upfront. Hopefully, the platform can improve listing accuracy to prevent future guests from facing the same situation.
