We stayed at Hotel Sauces del Estadio for an international tournament happening just a 5-minute walk away—location couldn’t have been better. The Poblado is only about 20 minutes by taxi, making it easy to explore the area. Rooms are on the smaller side but spotless and well-maintained, with a firm mattress that’s great for back support—perfect after long days of events. Breakfast was a bit repetitive, and fresh fruit could’ve been offered more often. Still, overall, this place delivers solid value, especially if you’re attending sports or local events. I’d definitely consider returning for another trip.

I especially appreciate Franklin for checking on us during our taxi ride and making sure we arrived safely. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and comfortable, with a nice blend of modern style and local charm. Breakfast, included in the rate, was a highlight—fresh, diverse, and delicious, offering a true taste of Colombian hospitality. Security is top-notch, with 24/7 surveillance and controlled access, giving me peace of mind throughout my trip. Every detail, from check-in to checkout, was seamless and thoughtful. Staying at Hostal Lleras Calle 8 in Medellín was a mixed but overall positive experience. The hotel is located in a lively nightlife district, so expect to hear music and street noise during the night—definitely not ideal if you're looking for complete quiet. However, if you're into exploring local bars and clubs and want a safe, central base without needing to travel far, this spot works perfectly. The staff at reception were incredibly friendly, respectful, and helpful—always ready to assist with anything. One minor issue was with the shower: the water temperature couldn’t be controlled properly. Turning on hot water scalded instantly, while cold water gradually cooled down until it became icy. The bathtub had a plug that didn’t seal well—possibly due to water-saving measures—but cleaning in the bathroom left something to be desired, as I found used soap in the dispenser. Also, the curtain didn’t fully cover the angled window, letting in streetlight through the gap. That said, everything else was excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable, and despite the ambient noise, I still managed to sleep deeply. There’s a mini-fridge in the room, and free coffee is available in the lobby. They also offer drinks and snacks via vending machines, plus a cozy common area with seating and tables. Overall, the place offers great value, warm hospitality, and a convenient location—ideal for travelers who enjoy city energy and don’t mind a little background buzz.
