Grand Hyatt Athens

Staying at Grand Hyatt Athens was an absolute delight. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and incredibly comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. While it's a bit outside the city center, public transportation makes getting to major attractions super easy. The rooftop pool and viewing deck are truly a highlight—breathtaking views of Athens stretch out in every direction. It's the ideal spot to enjoy sunset with a drink in hand. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, and the service is top-notch. A fantastic choice for travelers who value both comfort and scenery.

Noho Boutique Koukaki , Premium Living

To be honest, as our taxi wound through narrower and narrower streets with more graffiti appearing around us, I started questioning my booking choice. The building itself gives no indication of what it is—no signage, no clear entrance—and we even doubted whether we'd been dropped at the right place, especially after a few awkward attempts to get in. But once we stepped inside, everything changed. The doorway felt like an entrance to another world: instantly safe, welcoming, and comfortable—before we’d even seen the room. This property is straightforward self-catering with self-check-in. Our unit included a bedroom, a shower-only bathroom (a bathtub would’ve been nice), and a small storage area, plus a fridge and tea/coffee-making facilities. It always surprises me when places don’t provide basic welcome items like coffee, milk, or bottled water—but there’s a very convenient mini-store just around the corner, so no big issue. Having never visited Greece—or Athens before—we had no idea what to expect. We dropped our bags and headed out into the evening. Our taxi driver gave us rough directions, but we didn’t anticipate how close we’d be to the Acropolis and Parthenon. We only walked for about five minutes when we were completely blown away by the view from an adjacent street. Honestly, it’s harder to find a spot in Athens without a view of the Acropolis than one that has it. If we ever return to Athens, this is definitely where we’d choose to stay again—far better than our second hotel, which turned out to be a complete disappointment compared to expectations set by luxury brands (separate review).

Athens Backpackers

The free breakfast at Athens Backpackers was an absolute highlight! It's a buffet-style spread with three types of bread, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, plus a wide variety of drinks including milk, juice, and water. Everything was fresh and plentiful—perfect for starting the day right. The location is fantastic for exploring Athens, with easy access to public transit. Great value, clean rooms, and friendly staff. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to any traveler looking for a comfortable, budget-friendly base in the heart of the city.

Art Gallery Hotel

Staying at this hotel was a real highlight of my trip to Athens. The location is unbeatable—right next to the metro station, making it super easy to explore the city without needing to change lines. I loved how the rooms were designed with an artistic flair, like staying in a gallery—each piece of art on the walls added character and charm. The staff went above and beyond with their warm hospitality; they even welcomed me with a small thoughtful gift. There are plenty of great restaurants just steps away, so dinner was never an issue. For travelers who want comfort, style, and convenience all in one, this place is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back if I ever visit Athens again.

Pagration Youth Hostel

Honestly, this hostel is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced—warm, quirky, and absolutely unforgettable. The staff, especially the George brothers, are some of the kindest souls you’ll meet, even if their sense of humor leans a little toward playful pranks. We jokingly threatened to leave a bad review, but then my shoes vanished… so now I’m forced to praise their legendary hospitality! The showers are a bit chilly, but Terry promised to sing us songs to keep us from getting scared in the dark cubicles—so sweet, really. Blonde George is always a joy to see, often waking up with coins stuck to his back after what looks like an epic nap. Don’t bother leaving suggestions in the box—they won’t read them—but bald George will proudly read every one aloud just to tease you. And yes, don’t forget your key. Terry remembers nothing, so if you’re suddenly called Stacy instead of Michael, don’t argue—it’s just part of the charm. Anyway, I’m being kicked out (kidding!), but seriously, this place is pure magic. It’s not just about the location or the vibe—it’s the people that make it special. We never made it to the Acropolis (sorry, we know), but honestly, we didn’t need to. This stay was the highlight of our trip. Love, Mary and Bella.

Alexander's Penthouse

Absolutely perfect stay! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the metro and right in front of a bus stop, making getting around town a breeze. The apartment itself is spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, with a fully stocked kitchen (though we never used it—there are so many great restaurants within walking distance). We took the express bus from the cruise port just a few blocks away, which made our arrival super convenient. The views are stunning, especially at night when the city lights sparkle below. It’s an ideal spot for travelers who want to be close to everything without sacrificing comfort or scenery. This place truly delivers on every level—clean, quiet, and incredibly well-located. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone visiting Athens.

Acropolis Exclusive Residences

The location is absolutely perfect—just steps away from the metro, making it super easy to explore the Acropolis and other key attractions. The apartment itself is top-notch, with high-quality finishes, a comfortable bed, and a well-equipped kitchen. It’s clean, modern, and feels like home. I loved how quiet and central it was—no need to rush or deal with long commutes. For the price, this is an outstanding value. I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Athens.

Athens BlueBuilding

I'm so glad I booked this hotel instead of my usual chain properties. The location is unbeatable—everything you need is within walking distance, and it’s super convenient for exploring the city. The apartment itself is beautifully designed with thoughtful details and a warm, inviting atmosphere—clearly crafted with love. My family absolutely loved it, and I especially enjoyed watching the sunset from the 7th-floor balcony. Right around the corner is a small supermarket that also houses Zillion's, which serves amazing coffee and gelato—definitely worth a stop. From the moment we arrived, everything felt special and authentic. This place truly stands out, and I can’t wait to come back.

Baia Acropolis Hotel Apartment

Staying at Baia Acropolis Hotel Apartment was an absolute delight. The room was spacious, impeccably clean, and well-appointed with all the essentials you'd want for a comfortable stay. It felt more like a home away from home—perfect for families with plenty of room for everyone, yet equally ideal for business travelers needing a quiet, efficient base. The location is fantastic: just a short walk to the metro, making it easy to explore Athens without hassle. Restaurants, cafes, and local attractions are all within steps. What really stood out was the service—warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive. The staff are Chinese-speaking, which made communication seamless and stress-free. Ulysses Apartments Acropolis

Stayed for just one night, but the experience was absolutely perfect. The apartment is spacious and incredibly comfortable, exactly as described on the platform. Its location is ideal—super close to the Acropolis and easy to reach by metro. The kitchen is well-equipped, making it feel like a home away from home, even for longer stays. After booking, I received the Wi-Fi password (speed around 35 Mb/s—great for streaming) and clear instructions for entry. One tip: you’ll need internet to set up the digital door key, so it’s best to do this before arrival. If you forget, like me, just hold your phone against the door frame—you can often catch the apartment’s Wi-Fi signal long enough to get it done. Everything ran smoothly with no hiccups. No negatives at all. Highly recommend this place for a stress-free, enjoyable stay in Athens.

Aba Apartment Korizi Street

Absolutely perfect with no hesitation at all. The host was incredibly kind and attentive, providing excellent communication throughout our stay. They shared great recommendations on local restaurants, cafes, and even tips on how to best explore the city. The apartment itself was spotless, well-equipped, and located in a fantastic area—walking distance to major attractions and public transport. Everything we needed was there, and the neighborhood felt safe and vibrant. We truly felt at home. I’d definitely book again for our next trip to Athens. This place is a gem!

Royal Olympic Hotel

Staying at the Royal Olympic Hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The location is excellent—just a short walk from major attractions and well-connected by public transit, making it easy to explore Athens. The price point is very reasonable for the area, offering great value without breaking the bank. While some of the hotel’s facilities show signs of age, cleanliness and staff service remain consistently good. Breakfast is basic but satisfying, with enough options to start the day right. The rooftop restaurant is definitely a highlight—elegant, quiet, and offers stunning views of the Acropolis hill, especially during sunset. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a relaxing drink after a day of sightseeing. Definitely recommend this hotel if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and a memorable view.
