Diamond of Bodrum
We were a bit hesitant about this hotel based on some negative reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised — and even more so when we arrived. From the moment we stepped through the door, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Even though we arrived at 6 a.m., our room was ready within an hour — impressive service! We were handed towels, Wi-Fi details, meal schedules, and a helpful map of the hotel’s bars and attractions right away. Breakfast and all meals were exceptional: delicious, diverse, and healthy, with plenty of slow-cooked, steamed, and grilled dishes. Every lunch and dinner included extra grill options like fresh fish, kebabs, pizzas, pancakes, toast, and fried eggs — always tasty and generous. Drinks were all-inclusive: beer, soft drinks, cocktails (including mojitos), coffee, tea, bottled water, and non-alcoholic beverages — no extra cost. And during lunch and dinner hours, they even served ice cream and pastries as a sweet treat. The staff at breakfast and dinner were outstanding — attentive, professional, and spoke excellent English. They immediately asked what we’d like to drink and ensured we had everything we needed. The drive from the airport took about 30 minutes. From the hotel, it’s just a 10-minute walk to downtown Bodrum, 5 minutes to the port for day trips to Kos, and a 20-minute stroll to Bodrum Castle. Most major city attractions are easily accessible via a half-day walking tour. Rooms aren’t luxury-class, but they’re clean, comfortable, and perfect for a good night’s sleep. The air conditioning worked perfectly once nighttime temperatures rose to 17°C. One small note: the bathroom had a bathtub instead of a shower, and the glass screen wasn’t tall enough, so water splashed out during baths — minor issue, but not deal-breaking. What really stood out? No need to reserve sunbeds! Even at 10 a.m. on a sunny day, there were always available loungers with umbrellas and tables by the pool and beach. The pebble beach is directly accessible — either by crossing the street or going through a tunnel — making it super convenient. Overall, the location, service, and value for money were outstanding. This place exceeded expectations, and I’d definitely come back.
