One minor disappointment: I had arranged with the Chinese team member to store my luggage for the next day, but when I returned the following morning, the Japanese staff on duty refused to allow it. I ended up carrying my bags all the way to Mount Rokko, which wasn’t ideal. Still, the hotel has its charms—the little sheep in the lobby is absolutely adorable and perfect for photos. And the Kobe beef barbecue? Absolutely delicious—tender, well-seasoned, and worth every bite. Definitely planning to come back.

Walking distance to Sannomiya Station makes getting around super easy, and there’s a bus stop right outside—just one stop to reach Sannomiya. What really stood out? The staff speaks Chinese! They went above and beyond: printed me the airport bus schedule, even helped arrange a taxi at the end. Such thoughtful service from a hotel at this price point—it’s rare and genuinely appreciated.
