Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview Hotel(Municipal Government Branch)

I went through dozens of hotels and reviews before choosing this one, and I’m really glad I did. Check-in on New Year’s Day was packed—full house, long lines—but Serena at the front desk made it smooth and stress-free. She handled three rooms for me with such warmth and speed that I actually noticed her later—she’s even featured in the official promotional video on Ctrip! The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with a spacious layout and modern touches. My only small wish? Upgrading to a smart toilet would be a nice touch, especially for a luxury Marriott property. Overall, the service, location, and vibe were top-notch. It’s clear this hotel knows how to deliver a premium experience—and I’ll definitely be back.

No.36 Hotel (Tianjin 5th Avenue)

We stayed in a family room with the whole family, and as soon as we walked in, we were instantly captivated by the view outside the window—wide open and absolutely beautiful. The room was spotless, well-equipped, and thoughtfully designed. Everything we needed was there: a fully functional kitchen with a microwave, fridge, washing machine, and induction cooker; a spacious bathroom with a bathtub and hairdryer. Even the little things like a built-in drying rack made a big difference. The front desk staff went above and beyond—friendly, patient, and always ready to help. Safety is clearly a priority too: keycard access elevators and a dedicated, organized package drop zone downstairs for deliveries. Location-wise, it’s unbeatable—everything we needed was within walking distance: restaurants, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, and even a mobile service center. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, this place makes life so much easier. We’ll definitely be back next time we visit Tianjin—it’s one of those rare stays that truly feels like home.

LePon Hotel (Olympic Sports Center Tianjin Museum)

Staying at LePon Hotel was such a pleasant surprise—its proximity to the theater is unbeatable. After a night out at the performance, I just strolled back in under 10 minutes, no rush, no stress. I came from Tianjin’s Quanyi Chang area, took bus 846 (about 30 minutes), and even stopped by the Shenyang Road Antiques Market along the way—I picked up a pair of three-lobed walnuts as a little souvenir. The check-in was smooth, but when I first entered room 408, I noticed a faint smoke smell, so I mentioned it to front desk staff. They immediately moved me to room 305—worth every second. The view from the single-numbered room is stunning: deep green walls perfectly match the golden autumn hues of the plane trees outside the window. My colleagues were genuinely impressed during our morning video call—the background looked like a postcard! Honestly, I’ll definitely book a single-numbered room again next time. It’s true that booking a non-smoking room doesn’t always guarantee a smoke-free space—my last experience with another chain hotel was similar—but at least here, the value for money is solid. For comfort, location, and vibe, this place truly stands out.

We booked a suite for our family stay, but upon arrival, we noticed the living area didn’t match the photos shown online—our family wasn’t too happy with the layout. Zhengxie Club Hotel

I’ve stayed here a few years ago and decided to return—glad I did. The location is fantastic: just steps away from Baojia Lou, Qishilin, and even the Bird’s Nest, with the Haihe River right behind the hotel. Morning walks along the riverbank are peaceful and scenic. The Chinese restaurant on-site serves solid meals, and I was pleasantly surprised by a small dumpling shop just around the corner—breakfast and lunch were both satisfying and surprisingly good value. A couple of minor drawbacks: some facilities feel dated, especially in the corners where the carpet could use a deeper clean. Also, the front desk requires copying my ID upon check-in—a practice I find unusual and concerning from a privacy standpoint, as I’ve never encountered it elsewhere. It’s worth reviewing whether this aligns with local regulations and security standards. Despite these points, the overall experience remains excellent. Great for convenience, charm, and comfort—definitely recommend for travelers who appreciate a quiet, central stay.
