That meal surpassed even the legendary French Laundry in Napa Valley. Truly one of the most memorable culinary experiences of our lives. The hotel is fantastic — the room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, and the overall experience was excellent. The only minor downside was when we arrived and were asked to leave a €100 deposit per night. We hadn’t been informed about this in advance, especially since our booking had already been paid weeks earlier. We politely declined, pointing out that we’d never encountered such a requirement at any other hotel before. They confirmed it was optional, so we didn’t leave the deposit — but the surprise definitely caught us off guard. Despite that hiccup, the stay was still outstanding. Great value, warm hospitality, and a wonderful base for exploring Bordeaux. I’d definitely stay here again.

A quick tip: be sure to email the host a day in advance, as the front door uses a code lock and the key is stored in a small coded box near the entrance. Last-minute contact might not get an immediate response, so planning ahead saves hassle. Overall, this was a fantastic stay—great value, authentic atmosphere, and ideal for travelers who love independence and convenience.
