This stay at Hotel des Quinconces was absolutely magical. We’ve visited countless luxury destinations and stayed in many top-tier properties, but this boutique gem truly stood out. The history of the building—once the U.S. Consulate during WWII—added a layer of intrigue that made the experience unforgettable. Every detail in the rooms exuded elegance and charm, from the fine furnishings to the thoughtful touches. The staff went above and beyond with warm, genuine hospitality. But what really elevated the trip was meeting the owner, Raphael. Sharing a glass of exceptional wine with him felt like chatting with an old friend. When we expressed interest in dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant, he effortlessly arranged access to Mason Nuvelle—a decision we’ll remember forever. That meal surpassed even the legendary French Laundry in Napa Valley. Truly one of the most memorable culinary experiences of our lives. Thank you, Raphael, for making our Bordeaux journey extraordinary.
