That said, the quality justifies the cost for a special occasion or a luxurious stay. Overall, this is one of the best places to stay in Los Angeles, offering both comfort and convenience. Just a 20-minute walk to the 7th Street Metro station—where all lines converge—making it easy to reach Hollywood, Santa Monica, or LAX without hassle. The lobby is on the second floor, secured with keycard access to both the building and elevator, which gives peace of mind. The front area is cozy and welcoming, offering free coffee (from a bean machine), hot tea, chocolate, and hot water 24/7. Each guest gets a generous pastry—think big croissants, chocolate rolls, or banana cake—perfect for a morning pick-me-up. I loved that coffee and tea were always available, no matter the time of day. The room itself was spacious and well-designed: full-size bed, flat-screen TV, desk for work, mini-fridge, AC/heat, and fast Wi-Fi. There's even a safe and a hairdryer. If you need an iron, just ask at reception—they’re happy to help. The bathroom is huge with a spacious shower and quality toiletries. Everything felt fresh and modern. Honestly, if I’m ever back in LA, this will be my top choice. A standout stay!

Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hollywood Walk of Fame
This was my second stay at this hotel, and I’m even more impressed this time around. The location is unbeatable—walking distance to Hollywood Boulevard makes exploring the area so convenient. Parking is manageable, and taxis are readily available. It’s also very close to Universal Studios, which is a huge plus for those planning to visit. Just note that housekeeping needs to be requested in advance. The Indian cleaning staff member is incredibly kind and thorough—the room was spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. There’s a 7-Eleven right downstairs, perfect for grabbing snacks, drinks, or groceries. I brought a small pot to make tea and coffee, which made self-catering easy and fun. One thing to mention: there’s a small group of homeless individuals who often stay near the entrance. I try to leave some food each night, and if you’re staying here, please be respectful and understanding—they’re part of the neighborhood too. A little kindness goes a long way.
InterContinental - Los Angeles Downtown
First day in LA, and staying at this InterContinental was an absolute surprise! I was assigned to the 61st floor with a stunning city view—so much better than expected. The location is perfect: walking distance to convenience stores and fast food spots, and public transit is just around the corner. Sadly, my tight schedule meant I didn’t get to enjoy the pool, but the amenities throughout the hotel are top-notch. What really stood out was the value for money—this price for a high-floor room with such great views? Definitely worth it. A small downside: the lobby is on the 70th floor, so you have to take the elevator up there first, then go down to your room—slightly inconvenient. Also, valet parking comes with an extra fee of about $80 per night, which pushes the total cost close to $250 for the room alone. Still, despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was fantastic. I’d absolutely stay here again.
