Work trip turned into an unexpected highlight—this stay was even better than a vacation. Located right in the heart of downtown, everything is within easy reach, whether by foot or public transit. The view from the room of the city skyline at night is absolutely breathtaking and something you shouldn’t miss. I was disappointed I couldn’t use the pool due to the cooler weather, but it’s already on my list to come back just for that. The atmosphere, comfort, and convenience make this place stand out. Staying at Hollywood Hotel was an absolutely delightful experience overall. The property is immaculate, with clean and spacious rooms that felt both modern and cozy. I especially loved the room key—it’s so cute I actually brought it home as a souvenir! The only minor downside was one staff member (Spanish-speaking) who seemed rather unfriendly, which slightly dampened the mood. However, every other team member I interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. Location-wise, the neighborhood isn’t the safest for walking around, and there aren’t many attractions within easy reach on foot. We rented a car, which made everything much more convenient—highly recommended if you don’t have access to transportation. That said, considering the great value, excellent service, and prime location near Hollywood landmarks, this hotel is definitely worth a stay.

While I was traveling solo, I noticed many families staying here too, so it’s clearly a great choice for all kinds of guests. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-designed with thoughtful touches. Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. From the warm hospitality to the excellent location, this hotel is a hidden gem in Los Angeles. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hollywood Walk of Fame
This was my second stay at this hotel, and I’m even more impressed this time around. The location is unbeatable—walking distance to Hollywood Boulevard makes exploring the area so convenient. Parking is manageable, and taxis are readily available. It’s also very close to Universal Studios, which is a huge plus for those planning to visit. Just note that housekeeping needs to be requested in advance. The Indian cleaning staff member is incredibly kind and thorough—the room was spacious, spotless, and well-maintained. There’s a 7-Eleven right downstairs, perfect for grabbing snacks, drinks, or groceries. I brought a small pot to make tea and coffee, which made self-catering easy and fun. One thing to mention: there’s a small group of homeless individuals who often stay near the entrance. I try to leave some food each night, and if you’re staying here, please be respectful and understanding—they’re part of the neighborhood too. A little kindness goes a long way.
Fenix Hotel Hollywood
Staying at Fenix Hotel Hollywood was a solid experience overall. While most hotels in the U.S. don’t provide slippers—so I regretted not bringing my own—the real highlight here is having a washer and dryer right in the room. That’s a game-changer when traveling, especially for longer stays or if you need to freshen up your clothes. The location is excellent—just about 200 meters from the Walk of Fame, making it super easy to explore nearby attractions on foot or by public transit. However, I should mention that the area isn’t very safe at night, so we kept both front and back doors locked throughout our stay. It’s not ideal for late-night strolls, but the convenience and central spot make up for it. If you value practicality, good access, and a comfortable base in Hollywood, this hotel is definitely worth considering.

InterContinental - Los Angeles Downtown
First day in LA, and staying at this InterContinental was an absolute surprise! I was assigned to the 61st floor with a stunning city view—so much better than expected. The location is perfect: walking distance to convenience stores and fast food spots, and public transit is just around the corner. Sadly, my tight schedule meant I didn’t get to enjoy the pool, but the amenities throughout the hotel are top-notch. What really stood out was the value for money—this price for a high-floor room with such great views? Definitely worth it. A small downside: the lobby is on the 70th floor, so you have to take the elevator up there first, then go down to your room—slightly inconvenient. Also, valet parking comes with an extra fee of about $80 per night, which pushes the total cost close to $250 for the room alone. Still, despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience was fantastic. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Breakfast is basic—just bread slices, coffee, and tea—but it’s enough to start the day. Overall, it’s a solid choice for budget-conscious travelers who prioritize location, cleanliness, and a no-frills experience without compromising on comfort.
