Staying at New Hotel of Marseille was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the city center and close to metro access, making it easy to explore everything Marseille has to offer. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our visit, making us feel right at home. The room was stylish, clean, and thoughtfully designed with modern touches that added to the comfort. Breakfast was a highlight—fresh, delicious, and varied, with local French pastries and high-quality ingredients. Even the bathroom amenities stood out, featuring premium skincare products that felt luxurious. Everything about this hotel, from the decor to the service, reflects attention to detail and quality. It’s rare to find such a well-rounded experience, and we’ll definitely be returning when we come back to Marseille.

Both the rooftop infinity pool and the indoor pool are excellent—each offering its own vibe, and I appreciated how thoughtfully they provided small baskets to keep towels dry and organized. I was pleasantly surprised by how close we were to the city center—just a few minutes’ drive away. Plus, right nearby is a well-known sunset dining spot, ideal for a memorable evening meal. The only downside? No on-site parking, which could be tricky if you’re arriving by car. Still, with such an incredible location, stunning views, and thoughtful touches throughout, this place is absolutely worth every penny.

What really stood out was the small courtyard: peaceful, quiet, and perfect for morning coffee or a quiet moment. Plus, most major attractions are within a 20-minute walk or short transit ride. Great location, solid value, and a welcoming vibe. Definitely my top pick for future trips to Marseille.

The bathroom didn’t come with hand towels or a hairdryer—both had to be requested at reception and returned immediately. If you wanted to keep the dryer, you had to leave your ID as collateral, which felt a bit odd. Our bed was very noisy and stiff, and the pillows were overly soft with no shape, so they weren’t great for comfort. If you’re sensitive to noise or have trouble sleeping, avoid weekends—the building is right above bars and restaurants, and even with double-glazed windows, street sounds carried through clearly. Overall, the price-to-quality ratio is fair for a budget stay, but the rooms are definitely basic. It’s best suited for travelers looking for a simple, no-frills overnight option rather than a relaxing retreat.

The apartment was spacious, beautifully furnished, and incredibly comfortable, with a great location just steps from everything we wanted to explore. It’s rare to find such a thoughtful and personalized experience, and we couldn’t have asked for more.
