I've stayed at United Home B&B for the second time, and I can confidently say it's one of the best guesthouse experiences I've had in England. The owners are incredibly warm and helpful—going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even accommodating special requests without hesitation. Breakfast was outstanding, featuring fresh fruit salad and a variety of delicious options—nothing was left wanting. The location is perfect: quiet residential neighborhood, just a 10-minute walk to the tram station, making it easy to get into the city center or to the airport. Every detail, from the cozy atmosphere to the friendly service, made this stay unforgettable. I’ve already decided that my next visit to Manchester will be back here. Without a doubt, this is the best B&B I’ve ever stayed at among all the many I’ve experienced across England.

Just a 5-minute walk from Piccadilly Station, it’s perfect for exploring Manchester without hassle. The staff are incredibly friendly and full of local tips—helped me find some great hidden gems around town. The rooms have that signature Ibis Styles charm: compact but cleverly designed with practical touches like a neat side table and a fun faux grass cube to sit on. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious and kept spotless. Plug-in outlets are conveniently placed on both sides of the bed (USB-A only, no USB-C—minor downside). For a midweek stay, the value is unbeatable. I’m genuinely happy with my choice and would definitely come back.

Right next to Oxford Road train station, I walked there in just 3 minutes—no hassle, no stress. Whether you're heading to Liverpool, Leeds, or anywhere else in the UK, getting on the train is super convenient. Plus, the hotel's doorstep has plenty of dining and drink options—perfect for grabbing coffee in the morning or a quick bite in the evening. Clean, comfortable rooms with excellent service, and the overall value for money is outstanding. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m back in Manchester.

Staying at Castlefield Hotel was a fantastic experience. The location is perfect—just a short walk from Deansgate and Oxford Road stations, making it super easy to get around Manchester by train. I was especially impressed with the value for money; the room was clean, well-appointed, and offered great comfort without breaking the bank. The staff at reception were warm and welcoming, always ready to help. One of my favorite things was the outdoor balcony just beside the front desk, overlooking the canal—it’s such a peaceful spot to enjoy a drink from the bar in the evening. Manchester’s city center is easily accessible on foot, so you can explore all the highlights without needing transport. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this hotel truly delivers.
OYO Hala Guest House
I strongly advise against staying here—this place is not a hotel as advertised. It's essentially a shared house, and we were given what amounted to a living room/bedroom combo. When we arrived, we were told there would be a reception desk to meet someone, but instead found a man smoking on the front step. We were let in, only to discover the bathroom floor was completely soaked with water—we had to call him back to deal with it. The amenities were shockingly minimal: two cups, some tea leaves, and a few sugar cubes. When I asked where the kettle was, he said all rooms were full and there was no spare kettle available! On Friday night, we were kept awake all evening because people kept coming in and out through the front door, which required a code. They were banging on the door until 4 a.m., and the walls offered zero soundproofing—so much so that the entire room shook with every slam. The so-called 'reception' staff was actually the homeowner who lived in the back room, and he was just sitting outside smoking, asleep and completely oblivious to the noise. The next day (Saturday), we had to get up again to open the door for more guests constantly knocking. Every single thing listed on the platform—including facilities, service, and privacy—was misleading or outright false. This experience was deeply disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this property to anyone.

What stood out most was the quality of the toiletries; they used well-known brands for hand wash, body wash, and shampoo—gentle on skin and hair, unlike the cheap, harsh products often found in budget hotels. Breakfast was decent but limited for my dietary preferences as a Muslim. However, when I asked if they could accommodate a vegan option, the catering team kindly prepared a plant-based sausage—something I truly appreciated and made my stay feel more personal. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly Station. While it felt longer dragging my luggage at night, walking there in the morning was a refreshing, pleasant stroll through the city streets. Overall, it’s a great value choice with excellent service and thoughtful touches that make a real difference.

The room was slightly humid, but the soundproofing was excellent—no noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms. The heating worked wonderfully, keeping the space cozy throughout the night. All the essentials were there: kettle, toiletries, and everything in good condition. For the price, this is an outstanding value. Breakfast was a standard Western spread—eggs, hash browns, and sausages—all freshly prepared and delicious. It was satisfying and gave me a solid start to the day. Overall, I’d highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and great value.
