Staying at Lake Sight Design Hotel in Xiamen was an absolute delight from start to finish. Our room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and very comfortable—perfect for unwinding after a busy day. We stayed for several nights, and every moment felt relaxing thanks to the quiet surroundings and excellent location. Everything was within easy reach, and I especially loved walking around Baituizhou Lake just downstairs—the views were stunning, especially at sunset. One of the little touches I truly appreciated? Free tea service in the room! It’s these thoughtful details that make a big difference. If you’re visiting Xiamen, this hotel should be at the top of your list. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Travelling with both grandparents and kids? This was the perfect choice! Along the way, we found little convenience stores with bubble machines for the kids and warm tea for the elders—such a thoughtful touch. The family room had two spacious beds, and while there was no balcony, the large windows let in gorgeous morning light that streamed across the rooftops opposite. Not including breakfast actually worked out well—we could each grab something local: the kids loved the street-side oyster noodles, the grandparents enjoyed authentic Xiamen-style seafood rice, and I happily devoured a crispy tangyuan. We met back in the room, then headed to Huangcuo Beach at our own relaxed pace. It was exactly the kind of slow, unhurried trip that made everyone happy.

I’ve always loved the charm of Nanhua Road’s heritage-style villas, and this trip was no exception. Since we arrived late for New Year’s Eve, I booked a compact room here—what a steal! Though small, it had everything you need, cozy and thoughtfully designed with two windows that let in plenty of natural light. The downstairs area has a quiet, artistic vibe, perfect for unwinding. It’s just a 5-minute walk to Nanputuo Temple, and only two stops from Zhongshan Road—great access without the noise. Being tucked inside Nanhua Road makes it wonderfully peaceful, with zero traffic sounds. If I ever return to the island for work or leisure, I’ll definitely choose this place again.

Cleanliness was impressive too—the bathroom was spotless, and the room matched the photos exactly. The only minor downside was a section of roadwork outside with a metal plate that created some noise when vehicles passed over it—but honestly, considering the price, we couldn’t ask for more. We arrived on a rainy day and were pleasantly surprised when the host upgraded us to a better room for free—since another guest had canceled their booking. The lobby is spacious and welcoming, with a long table perfect for working or relaxing, plus a microwave available for guests’ convenience. On a sunny day, sitting in the backyard with a cup of tea would be absolutely ideal. The room itself was spotless and beautifully designed with a minimalist, modern touch. Everything you’d need was provided: shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes, towels, bath sheets, hairdryer, electric kettle—all thoughtfully included. The water heater delivered strong, consistent hot water, making showers very comfortable. We even got plastic slippers for use in the bathroom. The bed was incredibly cozy, and we slept like babies. Even though it was raining during our stay, lying in bed listening to the gentle sound of rain tapping against the balcony window was oddly peaceful. There were few other guests around, so the place felt quiet and intimate. While the property isn’t right next to a metro station, getting there by taxi or bus was easy and convenient. Unfortunately, we couldn’t explore the neighborhood due to the weather, but I’ll definitely come back if I visit Xiamen again. This place offers an unbeatable mix of comfort, charm, and value—highly recommend!
