My stay at the Sky Apartments in Moscow-City (57th floor, The Empire Tower) was extremely disappointing. The worst part was the deposit issue—during booking, we were told it would be 10,000 rubles, but upon arrival, they demanded 20,000 rubles with no prior warning. Since our group size was known from the start, they should have clearly stated the higher fee upfront. To this day, the deposit has not been refunded—money still hasn’t returned, which is unacceptable. Another shocking charge was 1,500 rubles just to move a bar from the fridge. I wanted to place it myself in a cabinet—no extra work involved—but they charged me anyway. That’s absurd and shows how much they’re profiting off guests’ small requests. The staff showed zero respect from the beginning. We were scheduled to meet at 2:30 PM, but had to wait over an hour with luggage—reception finally appeared at 3:00 PM. At that point, we were already rushing for a major event, so every minute counted. Their lack of punctuality was infuriating. The access system was also confusing—security staff kept mixing up guest lists, forcing us to waste time clarifying details. The apartment’s technical condition was poor: one floor-standing air conditioner was broken, its leg snapped, making temperature control impossible on the 57th floor. Despite repeated complaints, staff only gave empty promises and ignored the issue for hours. The karaoke system constantly malfunctioned—the microphone would cut out repeatedly, completely ruining the party atmosphere. The room itself needed serious attention: one refrigerator didn’t work, the interior looked outdated, and bedding took forever to arrive despite prior request. Yes, the view from the 57th floor is stunning—but that single positive can’t outweigh all these major flaws. Rude staff, disorganization, technical failures, and total disregard for guest experience make this a terrible choice. I absolutely do not recommend this property for events or extended stays, especially given its prestigious location in central Moscow. It’s hard to believe such poor service exists in one of the city’s most upscale areas.

Staying at Page 20 Apart-Hotel was a pleasant surprise. The price-to-quality ratio is outstanding—rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-designed with high-end Bosch appliances. The kitchenette is fully equipped, so cooking a quick meal was easy and convenient. Small touches like fresh apples and cookies at check-in made the experience feel welcoming. The location is a bit tricky to find—right next to DR HEAD on Novy Arbat Street—but the hotel sends a photo of the entrance in advance, which helped us locate it without stress. Note that the front desk is on the 20th floor and not always staffed, so you’ll need to call ahead if you need assistance. While it’s a 10-minute walk from the nearest metro, getting to the Kremlin turned out to be even faster on foot—just 10 minutes to the ticket office, which we found surprisingly easy despite being confused at first. Overall, this place offers great value, a quiet atmosphere, and excellent access to Moscow’s top sights. Perfect for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and a home-like stay.

But then came the unexpected issue—check-in wasn’t possible. The reason? I didn’t have a confirmation slip from the hotel in St. Petersburg proving I’d stayed there, even though I never received any document during my previous stay. That moment truly felt like being stranded with nowhere to go—definitely one of those 'can't believe this is happening' moments. Thankfully, the platform’s customer service was outstanding. They responded quickly, handled everything professionally, and kept me calm throughout the wait—so reassuring that I actually fell asleep on the lobby sofa while waiting. This is a business-style serviced apartment, and overall, it’s impressive. Daily cleaning is done thoroughly, the room is spotless, the kitchen and fridge are fresh with no odd smells—really feels like home. Just a 400-meter walk away, there are two supermarkets (one big, one small), so cooking your own meals every day is super easy. Waking up to sunrise from the bed was a real highlight, and the included breakfast adds extra comfort. Clean, convenient, and welcoming—I’ll definitely be back.
