Staying right in the heart of Berlin made exploring the city so convenient—just a short walk to the zoo and major attractions. This charming little pension in Berlin is a hidden gem, especially if you value convenience and quiet comfort. Located just steps from public transit, it’s super easy to reach the airport without any hassle. The only thing to note is that the rooms are on the second floor with no elevator—nothing major, but worth mentioning if mobility is a concern. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the friendly manager who personally escorted us to our room, listened to our needs, and made sure everything was set up perfectly. The room itself was spotless, with a comfortable bed, a small fridge, and a safe tucked inside the wardrobe—great for peace of mind. The bathroom was clean, functional, and stocked with plenty of towels. We stayed in a rear-facing room, which meant minimal noise during the night—though occasionally we could hear some sound from the restaurant downstairs when trash bins were being emptied. One thing to keep in mind: there are no blackout curtains or blinds—only thick curtains—so early morning sunlight can be a bit bright if you’re a light sleeper. Breakfast, served from 7:30 to 10:00 AM, was one of the highlights. It’s a well-stocked buffet with fresh fruit, cereals, breads, juices, and more—no hot dishes, but absolutely enough variety to make a satisfying, balanced start to the day. The staff kept replenishing the selections regularly, so nothing ever ran out. Overall, this place offers an excellent value for money, with top-notch cleanliness, thoughtful service, and a great location. It’s clearly well-run and truly welcoming. I’d highly recommend staying here—perfect for travelers looking for comfort and simplicity in the heart of Berlin.

The guesthouse is infested with bed bugs—this is not an exaggeration. We found them crawling even in the shared kitchen, which is centrally located and accessible from all rooms. The owner never showed up during our stay and has not responded to any messages since. We had to scramble to find another hotel just to get a safe place to sleep. Health authorities have already been notified to prevent further risks to future guests.

Staying at Roomers Berlin Steinplatz was a delightful experience from start to finish. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and efficient—plus, one of the team members even knew a few basic Chinese phrases, which added a personal touch. The hotel’s design is bold and modern, with a stylish yet welcoming vibe that feels both sophisticated and unique. Our room was comfortable, with a well-designed layout and high-quality furnishings. The only minor downside was the curtains—they don’t block out light completely, so morning sunlight did come through, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. The bathroom was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed with excellent fixtures. Overall, the hotel strikes a perfect balance between luxury and urban charm. Located just steps away from public transit, getting around Berlin was effortless. If you're looking for a stylish, well-run stay in a great neighborhood, this is an excellent choice.

This hotel desperately needs a full renovation—or maybe even demolition. From the very first moment, the elevator gave me serious pause; despite being on the 6th floor, I couldn’t bring myself to use it—felt too eerie. The room door was flimsy, thin, and wobbly, so much so that you could hear everything from inside, even with a second door between the hallway and bedroom. Let’s be honest—paying €250 for two nights, isn’t it asking too much to fix a hole in the wall? Sleep was impossible—uncomfortable bed, the temperature felt like a sauna, and the blanket? Honestly, what was that made of? The bathroom was actually decent, though a hairdryer would’ve been a nice touch (though summer made it less urgent). Overall, I’d never come back—not even if they paid me. But hey, the Wi-Fi was excellent. At least something went right.
