On-site travel arrangements are available if you need a taxi, and laundry services are offered at very affordable rates—perfect for longer stays. What really stood out was the staff: incredibly polite and friendly, especially the housekeeping team who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The Hotel Victoria in Chennai didn't meet my expectations. The room had a noticeable musty odor, and the air conditioning took nearly an entire night to cool down properly—frustrating for a restful stay. Lighting was extremely dim, making it nearly impossible to read printed material without straining your eyes, not to mention doing makeup; I felt like I was getting ready for Halloween instead! The shower pressure was so weak that it felt more like a mist than a proper bath—definitely not efficient. To make matters worse, there were no toiletries provided, no electric kettle, and very few additional amenities. While the location is decent, the overall experience fell short of what I’d expect at this price point. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

My stay at NK Courtyard in Chennai was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, I was shocked to find that the room rate was different from what I had booked—additional ₹500 was charged right at the front desk with no prior notice. The hotel felt completely deserted; there were almost no guests or staff around, giving it a ghost-like atmosphere. The receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful, making the entire check-in process unpleasant. The bed was uncomfortable, hard as stone, and the room itself felt outdated and poorly maintained. I ended up paying extra just to leave early in the evening. This experience was not worth the money or time. If you're looking for a decent, reliable stay in Chennai, avoid this property—it lacks basic hospitality and value for money.
