The location is convenient, just a short walk from the Ambattur Railway Station, and the room itself is clean enough. However, the building could use a fresh coat of paint—some areas are peeling, which makes it feel a bit worn down. The real issue was the staff’s attitude: extremely unhelpful. When I asked for toilet paper, they handed me table napkins instead! While some guests might not use toilet paper, it's still basic hygiene that should be provided. To make matters worse, they tried to charge me for water at check-out. I reminded them about the incident with the napkins and politely refused to pay. Overall, the experience was disappointing. Poor service, lack of attention to detail, and no sense of hospitality. Not worth the price, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Aasai Guest House
My stay at Aasai Guest House was underwhelming. The rooms were average in size and condition, but didn’t justify the price point. No breakfast included, which was a letdown for a budget-friendly option. There was no hot water kettle, and no facilities for tea or coffee—definitely inconvenient if you’re used to having a quick brew. Charging ports were placed too high, making it awkward to plug in devices while lying down or sitting. Some rooms are located on the far side of the building, where Wi-Fi signal is weak and other services aren’t consistently available. Overall, the experience felt inconsistent—basic amenities missing and service not up to par with what’s being charged. It’s okay for a short overnight stop, but not recommended if you're looking for comfort or reliability.
Hotel la Castle
The exterior of the hotel looked promising, but the reality was a big letdown. The lobby and rooms were visibly dirty, and the worst part? When I turned on the AC, rats came out from the vents—definitely not what you expect. Staff were indifferent at best. What really ruined the experience was being falsely accused of stealing a kettle during check-out. I even offered to let them search my bags since there wasn’t a kettle in the room to begin with. We had to wait in the reception area while they searched, only to find out later that the kettle had already been sent for repair. By the time it was sorted, I missed my bus and left feeling extremely upset. One front desk agent stared at me like I’d never seen a white woman before—deeply uncomfortable and disrespectful. If you're a white traveler, I’d strongly advise avoiding this place at all costs. This is definitely not a hotel I’ll ever stay at again.
Metro Park Residency
I visit Chennai every year with my father for medical appointments at SIMS Hospital in Vadapalani, and this hotel has been our go-to choice simply because it’s just a 2-minute walk from the hospital—convenient and practical. That’s really the only highlight. The rooms are on the smaller side, with an old mattress that sinks in the middle, a small cupboard, and a TV. The bathroom has hot water, but the shower head is broken and doesn’t work at all. The linens also have stains, which raised some concerns about cleanliness. The hotel does have a working elevator, but there’s no dedicated parking—only space for two cars, so we had to park on the main road, which isn’t ideal. However, the vegetarian restaurant on the ground floor serves delicious South Indian tiffin, and we’ve enjoyed it several times. It’s a small plus, but honestly, apart from location, there’s not much to recommend about the property.

During my recent road trip from Chennai to Bhubaneswar, I stayed at Redfox Hotel for both the onward journey (evening of the 12th) and return (evening of the 20th). While I’m a Platinum member with the Lemontree group of hotels, it was the manager at Redfox, Mr. Premkumar, who truly made my experience exceptional. I simply called him to book a room for my preferred dates, and he not only handled the reservation seamlessly but also took care of every detail to ensure a comfortable stay. I was assigned Room 603, a spacious suite, at an affordable rate—yet everything in the room was well-equipped and thoughtfully arranged. The service felt more like royal treatment than just a hotel stay. From the bottom of my heart, thank you, Mr. Premkumar, and all the dedicated staff for your outstanding hospitality. This experience exceeded expectations, and I’ll definitely recommend this hotel to others.

My stay at Saaral Residency was absolutely excellent. Located right in the heart of Chennai, it's incredibly convenient for exploring the city—just a short walk to local attractions and public transport. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and surprisingly comfortable for the price. The food served at the hotel was fresh and satisfying, making it easy to enjoy meals without leaving the property. I was pleasantly surprised to find a spa facility on-site—perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. Despite its great value and quality, this hotel is seriously underrated. If you're looking for a reliable, budget-friendly option with genuine hospitality and a central location, Saaral Residency is definitely worth considering.

The staff went above and beyond—Kannan, Banu Priya, Kanadhasan, and Ajith were incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. Their warm hospitality truly made us feel at home. The food was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The kitchen team clearly takes pride in their work. Every detail, from cleanliness to service, reflects a high standard. This place isn’t just good—it’s memorable. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chennai and will definitely be back soon.

Lunch at the hotel’s restaurant was a highlight: a delicious vegetarian thali served for just ₹149, filling us up completely. The staff were courteous, helpful, and made our stay seamless. The location is excellent—buses heading to Tirupati stop right here, making transfers super convenient. From check-in to checkout, every service was top-notch. This place deserves full marks. A truly memorable stay!
