These activities allow you not only to see but truly immerse yourself in Rome’s vibrant daily rhythm.

Yes, Arco d'Or lies in central Rome, making it highly convenient for visiting major attractions. Within a 10-minute walk are Piazza Spagna, Piazza Navona, and the Pantheon. Take Metro Line A or B for a 15-minute ride to Vatican City and St. Peter’s Basilica.

Numerous bus routes pass through the area, connecting to Trevi Fountain, Roman Forum, and Galleria Borghese. These immersive activities blend history, culture, and gastronomy, offering a rich, authentic taste of Rome beyond the typical tourist trail.

Hotels near Arco d'Oro are typically located in central Rome, where space is limited and traffic restrictions are strict, so free parking is rarely available. For instance, Hotel Artemide and Hotel de' Neri do not have on-site parking. However, they offer partnerships with nearby commercial garages, with rates ranging from €35 to €50 per night. We recommend using public transit or walking to avoid high parking fees and difficulty finding spots.

Some luxury hotels may provide reserved parking, but this comes at an additional cost. Therefore, if traveling by car, it’s essential to contact the hotel in advance to confirm parking arrangements. A more economical option is to park outside the city center and take the metro into Rome, ensuring hassle-free access while saving money.

Staying at The Westin Excelsior, Rome was an absolute delight. The room was spacious and beautifully appointed with a strong sense of old-world European charm—every detail felt authentic and elegant, like stepping into a classic Italian villa. While there wasn’t an electric kettle in the room, it didn’t affect our stay since we brought our own travel coffee pods and tea bags. Mercure Roma Centro Colosseo

Returning to this hotel after 25 years was a real delight—what stood out most was how the strengths we appreciated back then have not only remained but actually improved. The room was warm and welcoming, perfectly air-conditioned, spotlessly clean, and featured an incredibly comfortable bed—everything you’d expect from a quality stay. The highlight has to be the rooftop pool on the eighth floor, offering a breathtaking view of the Colosseum just a few hundred meters away, along with sweeping vistas over Rome’s rooftops. This is truly a standout feature, especially during the warmer months from May to September. The rooftop bar, while priced slightly above local averages, provides a convenient alternative to wandering around the city. You can enjoy the same stunning views, sip a drink, or even have dinner right in the hotel, all with a relaxed bistro vibe. Breakfast was exceptional—abundant in both quantity and variety, with a great mix of sweet and savory options, including organic and vegan choices, plus some authentic local specialties that added a nice touch. The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and made us feel at home with their warm, natural hospitality. If we ever return to Rome during summer, this hotel will be our top choice without hesitation.
