The gift delivered on March 8th was absolutely delightful! The pool area, set beneath the sky of St. Petersburg, is stunning—serene and beautifully designed, making it feel like swimming under a dreamy Russian sky. Breakfast was an absolute treat—rich in variety, fresh, and vibrant, truly feeling like a daily celebration. From the moment we arrived to the last sip of coffee, every detail felt special. This hotel offers an exceptional experience with incredible value. I’d highly recommend it and would definitely return.

This hotel is absolutely flawless—truly the best experience I’ve had in years. The only minor note? You have to climb a few stairs to enter, and the elevator only goes halfway (but they’ll happily carry your luggage up to your room, so it’s not an issue). Every front desk staff member speaks English fluently, and they even read out the Wi-Fi password slowly and clearly—just in case you missed it! Breakfast was outstanding: generous variety, fresh, and delicious. The bathroom in the room was spacious and spotlessly clean. On my last night, I had to check out by 4:30 AM, so I asked ahead if they could prepare breakfast for me to take along. They actually did! When I arrived at the front desk, they noticed me before I even reached them and rushed over to help with my bags. They even walked me all the way down to the door and helped me get a taxi. I was genuinely moved—this level of care is rare. And the location? Perfect. All major sights—Dmitrievsky Cathedral, Kazan Cathedral, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, and the Winter Palace—are within a 5-10 minute walk. Just a 10-minute drive from the train station, and there’s a supermarket right downstairs, plus countless great dining options nearby. Everything is so convenient. Honestly, this hotel has no flaws—it’s simply perfect. If you’re visiting St. Petersburg, don’t even consider anywhere else. This place exceeds every expectation.

We've visited Matisov Domik twice now and are already counting down the days to return. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtfully designed — spotless rooms, genuine hospitality, and a serene atmosphere that made us feel truly at home. The spacious accommodations were well-equipped with a kettle and tea set; it would be lovely to see coffee sachets and dried cream included too. Each guest received bottled water upon arrival, plus a cozy robe — small touches that made a big difference. The lobby is beautifully adorned with art, giving the place an elegant, cultural vibe. Breakfast was exceptional — diverse, delicious, and always satisfying, especially the mouthwatering baked casserole. They even cooked eggs to order when requested. The rooms are incredibly quiet, thanks to excellent sound insulation, and the beds and pillows provided a restful night's sleep every time. There’s also private parking on-site, which is a huge plus for those traveling by car. We were pleasantly surprised by the included dinner — such a convenient and welcoming gesture. On our first visit, we checked in late at night, and the staff kindly packed a takeaway dinner for us at checkout the next morning. That unexpected care really stood out — proof of their professionalism and attention to detail. It felt like being treated like valued guests, leaving behind warm memories and a strong desire to come back again.

The location is absolutely fantastic—just a 2-3 minute walk to the Hermitage Museum, and other major attractions are easily reachable with just a short bus ride. Getting to the railway station for Lake Ladoga or other destinations is also very convenient. It’s only about an 8-9 minute walk to the famous Bookstore, and there are fast food options like Burger King and McDonald’s nearby. There’s even a gift shop right on the ground floor. The only downside was that the photos provided by the platform were misleading—I thought I had to enter through the main entrance, but it’s actually a smaller side entrance. Once inside, the elevator makes getting to the 4th-floor front desk easy. One tip: if you’re tall, the loft-standard room might feel cramped. Upgrading to a regular flat-ceiling room is definitely worth it for more space and comfort. Overall, this place offers excellent value and a great stay in St. Petersburg.

This has been the best hotel I've stayed at in Saint Petersburg! The staff were exceptionally courteous and their service went beyond expectations. The location is unbeatable—everything worth seeing is just a short walk away, and public transit access is excellent. While the hotel has a classic design, it's not your typical modern luxury property, and the rooms aren't particularly spacious. But the stunning views, competitive pricing, and perfect location easily make up for any minor drawbacks. Honestly, this was an incredible value for money—far better than many other options in the area. A truly memorable stay that I’d absolutely recommend and gladly repeat.
