The host and staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive—staying here felt genuinely safe and comfortable. We’d leave our keys at the front desk during the day while exploring the city, and every time we returned, the room was spotlessly clean and neatly made up. It’s clear they take pride in their hospitality. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the metro and right near the Ganges River, making it super easy to catch the morning rituals or explore nearby temples. What stood out most was the homely atmosphere—it felt less like a hotel and more like staying with a kind local family. Every detail, from the warm smiles to the thoughtful touches, made the experience unforgettable. I already know I’ll be coming back here on my next visit to Varanasi. Truly one of the best stays I’ve had in India.

After reading about this guest house on Giulia Raciti’s blog, I knew I had to stay here—and it completely lived up to the hype. Rahul Guest House is just a short walk from Assi Ghat and features a stunning terrace overlooking the Ganges. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful—they’re always ready to assist with anything and share insider tips that make your trip even better. The food is exceptional: fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Breakfast on the terrace, watching the morning light dance across the river, is an experience you won’t forget. What stands out most is how peaceful it is—far from the usual chaos of Varanasi, making for some of the best sleep you’ll get anywhere in India. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a true retreat. Highly recommended for travelers seeking authenticity, comfort, and a touch of serenity.

Staying at Vandana Residency was a delightful experience—more like staying in a cozy local home than a typical hotel. The standout feature is how close it is to Assi Ghat; it's just a short, pleasant walk away, making it super convenient for morning rituals or evening strolls along the riverbank. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the essentials you'd need. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, offering helpful tips about the area and local culture. It’s the perfect choice if you’re looking to immerse yourself in the authentic vibe of Varanasi without sacrificing comfort. I’d absolutely stay here again on my next visit.

After browsing through countless options, I finally booked this hotel just 50 meters from the Ganges River—slightly nervous at first, but wow, it turned out to be an amazing choice. From airport pickup to daily sightseeing arrangements and even the next-day drop-off, the front desk handled everything seamlessly and with genuine care. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished, and had a peaceful vibe that made my stay truly relaxing. Being so close to the Ganges added a spiritual touch—waking up early to watch the sunrise by the river was unforgettable. Every detail was thoughtfully managed, and the service felt personal, not transactional. This is definitely a place I’d return to without hesitation. Highly recommend for travelers seeking authenticity and comfort in Varanasi.

My stay at Hotel R B International Varanasi was truly enjoyable. The staff were incredibly humble and always willing to help, making the entire experience welcoming and stress-free. I especially appreciated the complimentary snacks provided—fresh, delicious, and a great touch for guests on a budget. The hotel is conveniently located, just a short walk from major attractions, and offers a clean, comfortable atmosphere without compromising on value. It’s perfect for travelers seeking a reliable, no-frills option in Varanasi. I’d definitely recommend this place to fellow travelers looking for a warm, affordable stay with genuine hospitality.

The hotel's location was excellent—most tourist attractions were within a 0.5 to 4 km radius, making it super convenient to explore on foot or by local transport. It’s just steps away from a lively market, perfect for grabbing snacks or souvenirs. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with a clean, calming vibe. Staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to help. Overall, this was a fantastic stay with great value and a welcoming atmosphere—I’d definitely return.

Staying at Hotel Aadesh Palace was an absolute delight. Located just a short walk from Gate No. 4 of the Kashi Vishvanath Temple, it’s perfectly positioned for spiritual travelers and sightseers alike. While vehicles can’t go beyond 500 meters due to restricted access in the temple area, the walk is manageable and part of the experience—offering glimpses of authentic Varanasi life. The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. What truly stood out was the staff—warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. I especially want to thank the restaurant team (I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name!) for taking the time to explain local attractions and even helping me plan my sightseeing itinerary. Their guidance made my trip so much more meaningful. With excellent food, thoughtful service, and a peaceful atmosphere, this hotel offers great value and a memorable stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Varanasi.

Staying at Panchkote Raj Ganges was an absolute delight. The room was peaceful and beautifully set within a quiet garden, with a private terrace overlooking the Ganges—waking up to that view was magical. The homestay has a warm, family-like atmosphere, and the hostess is incredibly charming and attentive. Breakfast was generous and varied, offering a delicious start to each day. Everything about this place feels thoughtfully curated—clean, serene, and full of character. I genuinely felt welcomed and relaxed from the moment I arrived. If I ever return to Varanasi, this will be my first choice. It’s truly a gem worth coming back to.

Amazing hospitality! The room was spacious and spotlessly clean—perfect for a relaxing stay. Neeraj went above and beyond, even personally taking us on a short boat ride along the Ganges to witness a vibrant local celebration just a 2-minute walk from the guesthouse. We enjoyed our meals on the rooftop every evening—delicious food with breathtaking views of the river. It felt like being part of the moment, not just a tourist. Grateful for Neeraj and his team’s warmth and effort. This place truly stands out. If you're in Varanasi, don’t miss it!

Staying at The Century Plaza Hotel in Varanasi was a solid experience overall. The location is excellent—right in the heart of the city, making everything easily accessible by foot. The room was clean and well-equipped with all the basics you’d expect. However, there was a persistent sewer smell coming from the bathroom that required keeping the exhaust fan on for long periods—unfortunately, it’s quite noisy, which disrupted rest. This issue also affected my friends’ room during their stay, and neither room had windows, so ventilation was limited. I didn’t request daily cleaning as I picked up a stomach bug and needed to isolate myself for days. That said, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating—they arranged early check-in and late checkout without hesitation, which made things much easier. The hotel has its own restaurant offering only vegetarian cuisine, perfect for those with dietary preferences. While not ideal for longer stays due to the ventilation and odor concerns, it’s a convenient and practical choice for a 2-3 night visit. I’d recommend this hotel for short trips, especially if you’re prioritizing location and service.

I’ve stayed at Indra Paying Guest House every year since 2017 — it was always a welcoming, reliable place. But things have taken a sharp turn for the worse since new management took over in April. I’ve always paid monthly and gave them ample notice of my departure on June 18th. On the 17th, I paid for 18 days as usual — yet the new manager informed me the next day that I’d either need to pay for the full month or never return. That’s simply unreasonable. I’ll be staying elsewhere next year. I try to stay positive, but since the change, the place has truly gone downhill. They’ve spent money on renovations, but without proper service, it’s all been wasted. Daily water supply is unreliable — you often have to walk to their other property just to report a break. And when water does come, it’s thick with fine silt, leaving grey residue on clothes, hair, and floors. The air conditioning is a disaster: after the previous manager removed it, the new one installed a replacement that leaks heavily — sometimes flooding inside the room, sometimes spilling across the landing, making it dangerously slippery. Placing a bucket under the drip helps only temporarily; if not emptied regularly, it just floods again. Waste collection has dropped from daily to once or twice a week. In hot months like April, May, and June, overflowing bins became a real problem — I even had to carry two full ones downstairs myself, which then mysteriously disappeared. Ants, flies, and even rats showed up due to the heat and poor hygiene. The final blow came on my last day — paying 40% of the building’s monthly rent and still being treated this way? It’s hard to believe. I genuinely hope they re-evaluate everything. For now, I won’t be coming back.

The Triumph Hotel is an absolute gem in Varanasi. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home. The room was spacious and beautifully designed, with a mattress so comfortable I fell asleep like a king. The staff went above and beyond—especially the male team, whose kindness and smiles genuinely brightened my day. Breakfast was a highlight: perfectly cooked omelettes and a buffet full of fresh, delicious options. Every detail felt thoughtfully curated. I left feeling refreshed and already planning my next visit. This is more than a stay—it’s an experience.
