The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, making for a relaxing stay. We wished we had more time to explore everything the property has to offer—there’s actually quite a bit to enjoy beyond just the accommodations. A complimentary breakfast would’ve been a nice touch, especially compared to other resorts we’ve stayed at where it’s included. Still, the overall experience was excellent, with great service and a welcoming atmosphere. The location is convenient for exploring nearby attractions, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Would definitely consider returning.

We stayed at the Taj Agra for two nights with our kids and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with traditional Indian hospitality—check-in was smooth and memorable. Every detail, from the front desk staff to housekeeping, exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, but what truly stood out was a small yet heartfelt gesture by the housekeeping team member Omveer. He arranged my 6-year-old son’s toy cars in a neat line, which brought such joy to him that it became one of the most cherished moments of our trip. The attention to detail, genuine warmth, and exceptional service made this stay unforgettable. We will definitely be back.

Staying at The P L Palace Agra was an absolutely delightful experience. The hotel is perfectly located—just a short distance from the highway and city center, making it super convenient for exploring Agra. The room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The front desk staff were exceptionally polite and helpful—Deepali and Bushra were particularly outstanding, always ready to assist with a smile. Amar was another highlight—so courteous and humble, yet always attentive. The breakfast was delicious and satisfying, with a great variety of local and international options. Every detail felt thoughtfully taken care of. This place truly offers excellent value and hospitality. I’d definitely recommend it and will be returning.

This stay was one of the most comfortable I've ever experienced. The room was immaculate, well-maintained, and had all the essentials you'd want for a relaxing getaway. The local breakfast and dinner options were exceptional—authentic, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Being just a short walk from the eastern gate parking area made visiting the Taj Mahal at sunrise effortless. The staff was incredibly accommodating with our schedule and even offered luggage storage after checkout, which was a huge plus. It felt less like a hotel and more like a warm, personalized home stay. If you're looking for comfort, convenience, and a genuine taste of local culture, this is an absolute must-visit.
Shiv Kothi - Homestay
Staying at Shiv Kothi was one of the most memorable experiences during our trip to Agra. The homestay itself is beautifully designed with a modern yet cozy vibe—clean, well-organized, and full of character. The host spoke excellent German, which made communication so easy and personal. The whole family went above and beyond to help us, even arranging a spontaneous day tour with a private German-speaking guide and driver. Everything was seamless—from pickup to sightseeing—and we were able to visit all major attractions efficiently without any hassle. The tour was highly recommended and truly worth every minute. The only minor downside? The immediate surroundings aren’t particularly scenic, but honestly, it doesn’t take away from the overall experience. If you’re looking for a warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully-run stay in Agra with great local hospitality and a touch of luxury, this place is a must-book. Highly recommend!
Bhoomi Residency
We booked this hotel through a platform for a family stay over Christmas, expecting amenities like a rooftop bar, swimming pool, and on-site restaurant. Unfortunately, none of these were operational during our visit. The staff were polite but seemed genuinely surprised to have guests arrive—almost as if they weren’t expecting any bookings. Once inside the room, we immediately noticed the door lock didn’t work properly, making it impossible to secure the room. There was no safe in the room, and the temperature was freezing despite the thermostat being set. Pillows were torn and looked unclean, and the overall cleanliness gave the impression that the room desperately needed a deep clean. The window overlooked an ongoing construction site, with thick mud stains visible from the outside. In the second room, exposed wiring was present where the light switch should be—meaning lights could only be controlled from outside the room. Inside, there was a significant amount of black mold growing along the walls. To make matters worse, all the promotional photos clearly did not reflect reality—the property appeared to still be under construction. After spending just 45 minutes at the hotel, we decided to transfer to another accommodation. The only reason this gets one star is due to the staff’s courteous attitude. We’ve requested a full refund, as the experience fell drastically short of expectations.

Everything about this stay was perfect: the hospitality, the food, the convenience, and the peaceful atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for more. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Agra.

The lush courtyard oasis, the incredible collection of art pieces scattered throughout, spacious and beautifully designed rooms, and most importantly—delicious, healthy breakfast and dinner—make this homestay stand out in every way. We only stayed one night, but I’d love to come back for more. A gem that exceeds expectations.

I actually think this place deserves a 3.5-star rating. On the bright side, it’s exceptionally clean and located in a peaceful residential area, just a short walk from both the Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal—perfect for exploring the city’s highlights. The young staff were genuinely eager to please, which was nice to see, but they’re still learning the ropes when it comes to hospitality. For example, the wardrobe had only one hanger, and there’s no kettle—something that would’ve been helpful since there aren’t any shops nearby. My room rate included breakfast, and there was a menu in the room, so I was really looking forward to trying an authentic Indian option. But the next morning, I wasn’t given any choice—I was just handed a basic omelette and toast, so I didn’t even bother going back. It’s clear they’re on the right track, but a little more attention to guest needs—like offering variety at breakfast or including small conveniences like a kettle—would make a big difference. With a few tweaks, this could easily become a solid 4-star experience. Overall, it’s a good value stay with great potential.
