The only downside was my request for a room as far as possible from the elevator—unfortunately, I ended up with one right next to it, likely due to availability or a miscommunication. On the second night, a loud pump kicked on and off every five seconds, making sleep nearly impossible. The front desk responded quickly by offering a room change, which helped, but the new room was noticeably older and less stylish than the first. Plus, directly across from the window, the neighbor hotel’s massive air conditioning units were constantly humming—a sound like being on a plane. Still, despite this minor issue, the overall experience was excellent. Location, service, and comfort make this a standout choice for travelers.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure it was safely returned, and I’m genuinely touched by their dedication. This level of care made my entire stay in Yogyakarta feel personal and memorable. Truly a perfect experience from start to finish.

Woke up in the middle of the night due to the sound of a rat scurrying around in our room—completely shocking. The next day we requested a refund for the night we didn’t stay because the place was so unpleasant, but the owner refused to give us any money back and acted extremely rude. The room itself is tiny, windowless, and felt suffocating. The sheets and towels had a foul smell, and the sink was covered in mold—literally disgusting and reeking of mildew. We travel light as backpackers and don’t expect luxury, but this was beyond unacceptable. It’s not just bad—it’s inhumane. Despite being close to Malioboro Street and accessible by local transit, the overall experience was terrible. Absolutely not worth it, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here under any circumstances.
