The staff were attentive without being intrusive, and the overall atmosphere struck the perfect balance between luxury and tranquility. It’s rare to find such a refined retreat in a bustling urban setting, and I can’t recommend this hotel enough if you’re looking for a peaceful, stylish stay in Milan.

Staying at this hotel was an absolute delight. The property is literally across from the Lima metro station, so you can reach Duomo, Sforza Castle, and Santa Maria delle Grazie (home of The Last Supper) quickly and without transfers—just take the red line. It’s a 13-minute walk to Milano Centrale, perfect for travelers with tight schedules. The rooms are spotless, with daily cleaning and fresh towels and linens changed every day. Slippers, bathrobes, and a kettle are available upon request—delivered promptly. Breakfast on the 6th-floor rooftop terrace is outstanding: fluffy omelets, bacon, sausages, cold cuts, cheeses, fresh fruits and vegetables, a wide variety of pastries, jams, Nutella, yogurts, and even a dedicated basket of gluten-free options. Coffee and tea are served all day, and you can grab coffee to go. I stayed in a single room with a window facing an inner courtyard—privacy was great thanks to the shutters. Plus, the front desk offers free marshmallows for guests to enjoy. Attention to detail, comfort, and location make this a top-tier choice. Highly recommend!

Staying at Sina de La Ville was an absolute delight, especially given its unbeatable location just behind the Duomo in a quiet little alley. The neighborhood is full of charm—shops, boutiques, cafés, and other hotels all within walking distance. We booked a triple room with a queen bed and a single bed, which worked perfectly for my two daughters and me. While there were no toothbrushes or toothpaste provided, they did include slippers, and housekeeping was prompt and thorough. Right outside the hotel is a famous street food spot known for its crispy fried dumplings—something we stopped by every evening on our way back. Public transport is super convenient; both metro and tram lines are close by, making it easy to explore Milan’s highlights. Each day returning from our walk through the Christmas market, I’d end up with bags full of treats—especially the rich cream-filled pastries, which became a daily ritual. I walked to Sforza Castle in about 30 minutes and took 40 minutes to reach the Navigli district. Along the way, I passed through Parco Sempione, a true urban oasis where even my more introverted daughters couldn’t resist running around. From the park’s archway, a one-kilometer stroll leads directly into Chinatown—perfect for a late-night snack. There are several Chinese restaurants nearby too: just walk through the archway near the Royal Palace Museum and you’ll find Bloom, a cozy spot serving great hotpot, stir-fried noodles, and dim sum. There’s also a nice Shanxi restaurant worth trying. Breakfast was simple but memorable—the croissants were beautifully arranged under soft lighting, almost like works of art. And the coffee? Brewed by a barista in a crisp white shirt, fresh and aromatic. The fruit bowl featured kiwi, pineapple, and honeydew melon—exactly what my kids love. They started begging to wake up early just so they could get to breakfast. Despite limited options, the quality and atmosphere made it special. This hotel offers incredible value, and I’d definitely come back.

We were supposed to receive the door code via email upon check-in, but it never arrived. When I tried to contact Italianway staff, I could barely hear them due to the loud noise in the office. They insisted it had been sent and that we should have it already. After about 15 minutes of back-and-forth, they finally resent it. All this happened while we were standing outside in 34°C heat, waiting with our two heavy suitcases. To make matters worse, we had to carry everything up three flights of stairs to a flat without air conditioning—something that wasn’t mentioned anywhere before booking. As someone who’s lived in Italy for over 20 years (my wife is Italian), I know what to expect when traveling here, but this was still an exhausting experience, especially for us in our mid-seventies. That said, the apartment was clean and located in a very convenient spot—our only positive takeaway.
