Staying at Sonder the Bywater was absolutely one of the best experiences I've had in a long time. The staff team went above and beyond with their warm, genuine smiles and attentive service—just being around them made the whole stay feel special. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the French Quarter, surrounded by great restaurants, local charm, and historic vibes. Everything you’d want for a memorable trip to New Orleans was right at your doorstep. Clean, modern rooms with thoughtful touches, and an unbeatable sense of place. I’ll definitely be back.
Sonder Piety House
We stayed at Sonder Piety House for a wedding weekend with the family, and it was absolutely perfect. The place is stunning—clean, well-maintained, and the beds are incredibly comfortable, making for a restful stay. The Sonder team responded instantly to any questions or requests, which made everything so seamless. No issues at all throughout our visit. From check-in to checkout, everything was smooth and welcoming. It’s clear they care about guest experience. We had an amazing time, and I’d highly recommend this property to anyone visiting New Orleans—especially for a special occasion like a wedding. Thank you for such a memorable weekend!

We’ve stayed at The Lookout Inn before, and once again, it was an outstanding experience! This time, we booked two connecting suites—one for my wife and me, and another for our two adult daughters. The space was perfect for our family getaway, offering comfort and privacy while still feeling like one cozy home base. Located in the heart of Marigny and Bywater, it’s an ideal launchpad for exploring all the charm and culture that New Orleans has to offer. We loved having room to relax in the spacious Mission Suite—great for catching up, planning adventures, or just unwinding after a day out. The weather warmed up early in the week, so we made full use of the back pool and hot tub. And yes, we even enjoyed a delicious breakfast Po’Boy from Frady’s right on the property. Every detail felt thoughtfully designed. We’re already looking forward to coming back—this place truly feels like home.

The staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, and their level of service was unmatched. Every interaction was warm, professional, and genuinely thoughtful. I especially want to highlight Rachel—her dedication and kindness made a lasting impression. The hotel’s ambiance, comfort, and attention to detail were perfect. If you’re visiting New Orleans, this is a must-stay. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, stress-free experience with exceptional hospitality.
Federal City Inn & Suites
I checked out after just one night due to a strong musty odor in the room that didn’t dissipate even after opening the windows. The smell was persistent and made me uncomfortable, raising concerns about air quality and hygiene. While the location is convenient for getting around town—especially with easy access to public transit—the overall condition of the room was disappointing. I had expected better cleanliness and maintenance for the price. This experience definitely affected my perception of the property. I hope management addresses the ventilation and mold issues soon, as it’s crucial for guest comfort and safety.
