I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Rio de Janeiro! The location is unbeatable—just steps away from Copacabana Beach, with stunning ocean views right outside the window. The room was compact but incredibly well-organized—every inch of space was used efficiently, making it feel much larger than it actually is. The staff went above and beyond with their friendly, attentive service, and the breakfast was outstanding—fresh, varied, and delicious. It’s rare to find such a great balance of comfort, convenience, and value in this area. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rio.
Tupiniquim Hostel Rio de Janeiro
The hostel is conveniently located near the metro, making it easy to get around Rio. However, the staff experience was extremely disappointing. We had to ask permission every time we wanted to store or retrieve items from the shared fridge—repeated requests made it incredibly inconvenient. In the morning, we needed our breakfast supplies right away, but were forced to wait two hours because the owner refused to let us access our things until the cleaner arrived, even though it was just one floor up. When I went to get my stuff, the owner became angry, yelled at me, and used a disrespectful term I won’t repeat. At that point, we left immediately. While the location is good and prices are reasonable, the lack of basic respect and poor communication completely ruined our stay. Not worth it.

The only small suggestion: adding a small rooftop terrace or swimming pool would be a nice touch to elevate the experience even further. But honestly, everything else is spot-on. This place truly delivers value and comfort—definitely a top pick for anyone visiting Rio.
