We stayed here for our first night in Kolkata, and overall it was an average experience. The staff seemed to be more than necessary, but they weren’t particularly helpful or responsive during our stay. The Wi-Fi connection was extremely poor—basically unusable for anything beyond checking messages. While the price is fairly standard, a quick search around the area revealed several cleaner and more affordable guesthouses nearby, which would’ve been a better value. One major downside: there’s no restaurant or food option within walking distance, so finding something to eat was a real challenge. As a foreign traveler, we also couldn’t find any shop nearby that sold SIM cards, which made staying connected tricky. In short, unless you’re pressed for time or options, this isn’t the most convenient or cost-effective choice for visitors exploring Kolkata.
