Staying at Abieshomes Serviced Apartments in downtown Vienna was a generally positive experience, especially given the excellent location—just steps from the metro and tram lines. We were there for five days in September, and the apartment itself was spacious at 85 sqm with modern renovations that made it feel fresh and comfortable. The fridge had ample room and worked perfectly, the bed was incredibly cozy, and the washing machine functioned without issues. Both the living room and bedroom had air conditioners, which kept things cool and pleasant throughout our stay. That said, despite all these positives, I’m giving it four stars because several small but noticeable problems stood out. For example, there was plenty of decaf coffee, but only six pods of caffeinated coffee—barely enough for two people over five days. There were no caffeinated tea options either (though they did bring more coffee when we asked). Towels were minimal: just two bath towels, two hand towels, two kitchen towels, and two washcloths—definitely not enough for a week-long stay. The kitchen was understocked with basic cookware, utensils, and pots, and there was no ice tray in the freezer. To make matters worse, the freezer door didn’t close properly. The floors and rugs were visibly dirty, and the coffee maker had two pods stuck inside, rendering it unusable until a replacement arrived on day two. Hot water took over ten minutes to warm up—even lukewarm—to take a shower, which was frustrating. Also, there was no shelf or ledge in the shower for soap, shampoo, or conditioner, so everything ended up on the floor. Some of these issues stemmed from housekeeping oversights, but others clearly point to management needing better oversight. With a few improvements, this would be an outstanding choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience in Vienna’s heart.

Staying at NH Wien City Hotel was an excellent experience from start to finish. The room came with a private bathroom, though it wasn’t noted in the booking details—probably a small oversight, but it didn’t affect the stay at all. The space was spotlessly clean, quiet, and incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast was outstanding—wide variety of options including both continental and local specialties, all fresh and well-prepared. Location is unbeatable: just a short walk to public transit, with supermarkets, restaurants, and major attractions nearby. Whether you're here for business or leisure, this hotel offers great convenience without compromising on comfort. Highly recommend it for travelers looking for a reliable, well-located base in Vienna.

It's also only about a 1-kilometer walk to the main train station, where a quick 15-minute ride gets you to the airport. This combination of convenience, cleanliness, and great service makes it an ideal choice whether you're traveling for business or leisure. I’d definitely stay here again.

Continental Hotel-Pension
I’ve seen some negative reviews giving this hotel only 2 or 3 stars, but personally I found it to be excellent—about 95% positive. The location is unbeatable: right in the heart of Vienna, just steps from the U3 metro line. The Western Train Station (where you can buy OBB tickets) is only two stops away—super convenient. The orange U3 line connects easily to other lines, and a single ticket covers unlimited rides on both buses and metros. The room was spacious with three single beds, spotlessly clean, and had no unpleasant odors. The bathroom was tidy, towels were fresh and replaced daily—just leave them on the sink counter when you leave, and they’ll be picked up. There was a tiny leak under the sink, but it was minimal and didn’t affect my stay. Breakfast was outstanding: scrambled eggs, cold cuts, cucumber slices, bell pepper strips, 3–5 types of bread, 5–6 cheeses, 3–4 varieties of liver pâté (delicious!), two kinds of butter, rich chocolate spread, two types of cornflakes, fresh orange juice, milk, coffee, plus 6–8 different teas—black, fruit, and herbal—all available from 7 AM to 10 AM with no restrictions. Just don’t waste food! The staff member in the photo was incredibly friendly and welcoming—very approachable and helpful. We paid less than 800 RMB per night for two people, which feels like an absolute steal. While it may not meet the standards of a 4-star hotel by some international benchmarks, compared to similar budget accommodations in Hong Kong, this place is way bigger and better. Overall, the value for money is exceptional. Highly recommended for travelers who want comfort, convenience, and great breakfast without breaking the bank.
